Baccarat: The Tie Bet

Baccarat: The Tie Bet
by Jason Green of Predictem.com

In the game of Baccarat there are three betting options available to you. The three Baccarat betting options are:

- To place your bet on the Playerís Hand
- To place you bet on the Bankerís (dealerís) Hand
- To place your bet on the Tie

When placing your bet on the three betting options for Baccarat you have the ability to bet any amount that you want from the minimum table about to the table limit.

In this article, we'll cover how you will act when betting the tie.

The Tie Bet

To bet on the Tie you will place your chips (bet) in the Tie area on the Baccarat table or on the number that corresponds to the seat you are sitting in. If you make the Tie bet and the Playerís Hand and the Bankerís Hand have the identical amount of points then you will win the hand. The Tie bet pays off 8 to 1. There are some casinos, both online and land-based, that will pay 9 to 1 for a Tie bet. The House percentage for the Tie bet is 14%. If there is a tie then the bets on both the Bankerís Hand and Playerís Hand are returned to the players that placed those bets. But they can leave that amount on the betting area on the table and leave that amount, add chips to it, or take chips off it.

Baccarat is a game whereby the croupier gathers in money with a flexible sculling oar, then rakes it home. If I could have borrowed his oar I would have stayed. ~ Mark Twain
