Craps: Playing Tips
by Wilson of Predictem.com

While craps is a true game of chance it can’t hurt to practice a few heads-up plays at the table. Depending on your goal and bankroll you can be very successful by incorporating a few solid strategies into your session. Let’s take a look at a list of tips that will make you a winner at the table.

• When you approach a craps table take your time and observe the action. Ask yourself a couple of questions: Will I feel comfortable playing with the other players at this table? Are the dealers helpful and polite? Does the table have a general good feeling? If the answers are yes then jump right in. If you don’t feel the love then move on to the next table or casino!

• If you are planning on playing for long period of time I suggest wagering on the pass line or don’t pass line with odds. This bet is one of the best bets on the table and it is not a one-roll wager like many of the proposition bets. Of course it always helps if you have a large bankroll.

• If you want to hit and run a table then you will want to perhaps risk betting on some of the higher casino advantage bets which pay off anywhere from 8 to 1 to 30 to 1. I don’t recommend these bets but it’s a nice pay day if you’re lucky enough to hit’em.

• Watch out for chip snatchers! It’s true they really do exist. Although rare, there are some people who prey on the novice or the player who has had too much to drink. Be aware of anyone who simply gets to close to you and your chips. Yes, even the gorgeous woman in the dinner dress- she’s usually the prime suspect!

• Keep your hands and arms from dangling over the railing. If a shooter throws the dice and they hit you then fall to the table resulting in a loss (seven out) you will be the “bad luck” player at the table.

• Find a rhythm when you throw the dice. Treat throwing the dice like you would swing a golf club (if applicable); keep it the same every time.

• Only pick the dice up with one hand.

• The dealer will push as many as five dice to you when it’s your turn to be the shooter. You are only allowed to pick up two of the dice.

• As a shooter, don’t let the game rush you as it’s important to inventory your bets and goals before every throw. But don’t be a slow-poke either- find a rhythm.

• Don’t gamble if you are tired or impaired. You need to be alert and energetic to keep up during a session of craps.

Following some basic tips and strategies while playing craps will increase your chances of winning and certainly lead to an enjoyable gambling experience. Remember, a gambling session should always be well thought out before you enter the casino. Luck to ya.
