Usually not on big NFL favorites, or big favorites in general, but I see value in these two today.
New Orleans -12.5
Carolina is coming off a big upset win against the Cardinals where Kurt Warner threw five interceptions and fumbled once. Do you really think Brees will do the same? Carolina plays one way under Fox and with turnover prone Delhomme. Run the Ball! If they get behind and are taken out of this game plan they are dead. The Saints, at home, will jump on the Panthers early, force them to throw and sit back and gobble up Delhomme horrible passes. I got this at New Orleans -17 so the line has value because of Carolina's unlikely win last week and New Orleans coming off a Monday night. The loss of Ellis up front hurts the Saints but no way will Carolina be able to match the points that New Orleans will put up.
Atlanta -8.5
Atlanta shouild be motivated coming off two straight losses. The Falcons have had a brutal schedule but now get a break with the lowly Redskins coming to town. The Skins have a coach on the hot seat, their superstar criticizing the front offense, a pathetic patchwork offensive line, and just lost one of their main weapons in Cooley. The could ill afford to lose any offense on a team that has yet to score 17 or more points in a game. Their defense is decent but they will wear down from being on the field and under constant attack from a diversified Atlanta offense that has a plethora of weapons.
