well.....my wsop main event is officially over....I lasted til right before the dinner break on day 2, when I was all in for my tourney life for the first time pre-flop...with Pocket Kings...was sitting a little below average when a raise of 3X times the blinds came to me (with one caller after the raise) and I re-raised to 8X times the blind......the player who raised was the smallest stack at the table and a very loose player, and I wanted him all in...and it worked. I also really didn't want to go three way to the flop, but with Kings was pretty confident...until the other caller puts me all in...he has maybe 20% more chips than me...at this point, I just dont want to see AA from him...but figure what the hell..it's time to gamble a little and its a good opportunity to 'hopefully' triple up....we flopped our cards over and here's what I saw..low stack has 10J (offsuit), and the player that took me all in has pocket 8's!...when I flip over my pocket Kings, the guy with pocket 8's pretty much said he was hoping he'd be in a race with me or something...I don't know..I was feeling pretty good pre-flop...and the flop came...6-7-8....and that was it for me in the wsop...he made a set with his 8's and my wsop main event was over! I don't know what else i could've done with this hand...I know I could've played better the first few hours of the first day...i played a little too loose, but I made up plenty of those chips i lost early on, by playing better later...but losing with Kings to eights pre flop was just horrible...but i had a great time, and hope to get a chance to play again next year....on a side note...i did play in a 2nd chance event for $500 with around 160 people or so, and finished 13th to win a little over a grand...so over all it was a good trip...just wish i could've lasted longer...
