sounds like you were playing at too big of a table..i have the same problem..i dont care if all i have is 200 last thing i wanna do is play 1/2 nl one bad beat is all it takes and the whole things is gone.. the "rule" is something like you should be able to have 20 or 25 full buyins to know if you should play at that level which allows for variance..
