MMA Size of bets at bookmaker

I wonder if you guys know the general limits at bookmakers for MMA?
Of course it is different from bookie to bookie.
Please let me know if you have experience of this, state what bookie you are referring to.

UFC Events are usually $250 1-3 months before a fight. $500, the month of the fight. Then around $5,000 the week of the fight.

Strikeforce, about the same, but a $2,000 max week of the fight.

All lesser promotions are $250-$500

Sportsbook.com is $500 limit for ANY fight, any time. Unless they approve an over the limit wager.

I got a friend who is getting involved with MMA betting, and I thought the limits would be very low, so low that it should not be worth betting. He is very involved and follows it in a strict way. But if he uses several bookies, I guess he would be able to bet quite a lot of money.
