Posting this late, but the main card will hopefully be worth a ppv buy.

Because of the recent purchase of Strikeforce by the UFC - all scheduled Strikeforce events will be conducted with UFC rules... this means, elbows are allowed!!

The only reason Nick Diaz loses this title is if his ego gets so damn big that he wants to trade with Daley. Daley has all the power in the world to knock someone out, and Diaz has just enough power to allow himself to want to stand. This would be a big mistake. Diaz has a significant advantage on the ground with his jiu-jitsu, and would be smart to go there. If you have a prop of Diaz by submission, do it. Again, yes, it's hard to get Daley to the ground, but that's the way to win - I can see Diaz getting frustrated if he shoots or trips and fails right away, and just resorts to standing... if that happens, bam, gone. THere was a ton of tension in the weigh-ins and this is going to be some serious fun.

Other... I know I am absolutely terrible at picking Asian fighters coming into America to fight, but this Kajawiri is a gift at these prices. I'm not a huge fan of Melendez at all. Keith Jardine hasn't fought and beaten anyone with relevance in a long time, but at those long odds, maybe he's not just looking for a paycheck - even though he takes fight on short notice as well...

As you can see, favorites had a great time today - I didn't end up making a play either way, but this is the third consecutive MMA card where favorites have dominated... not sure on the odds of a draw for that Jardine fight...
