Default Any Blackjack Card Counters Out There?

Just Curious to know if there are any members out there that have tried to learn the skill of counting cards.....

Im a pretty avid blackjack player (not for big money though) and mainly stick to basic strategy and flat betting.

I saw a couple of threads on here of people discussing some progressive betting schemes like 2-2-3-4-5......the seemed to worked for me occasionally, but im looking for something that would give my a slight advantage over the dealer so I could actually make some real money......

Anyways, I just recently started doing some research on card counting and started practicing on my blackjack app on my iphone and it seems that I am winning pretty consistently, its almost scary how much I win
Im always thinking, man I wish I was playing with real money

Just wondering if anybody is doing this on online casinos????
I dont have the guts to try it at a real casino yet......maybe in a couple of months when I get some more practice and can keep the card count in my head w/o saying it aloud.....

any opinions would be appreciated....

Counting cards in a live, brick and mortar casino is a completely different animal than an iPhone app or an online casino.

First, you can't count card on an online casino because the virtual deck re-shuffles after every hand.

Second, I believe the iPhone App (I used it about a year ago) runs through the entire 6 or 8 deck shuffle. This simply does not happen at casinos in order to prevent people from effectively counting cards.

The only way to have a legitimate shot at counting cards successfully is to find a dealer that employs good penetration of the shoe (80% or higher)
