Early Looks--Favorite Plays-Picks

Florida has a cake walk to dance--horrible bracket
Love Arizona to roll Purdue gonna be very similar to last year's tourney...rock the Boilers then play close and give Florida their only matchup...
ODU beats Butler too, Butler isnt the team they were at the beginning of year..
HolyCross-SoILL-under, Tennesee and Memphis --over, like ORal roberts to give wazzu problems..Davidson will be a tough matchup for Maryland....Albany +point s against UVA, Albany has some athletes and they gave a much better UCONN team last year a run for their money and their fans traveled well last year to PHilly....Gonzaga I like vs Indiana....sorry this is so condensed, just wanted to ramble some thoughts on the tourney games

Butler is definitely the 5-12 matchup most likely to pull an upset.

I just wish they'd post the damn lines....

At first glace, I think...

Winthrop may beat Notre Dame, or at least play em down to the wire

Illinois may beat VA Tech too. Call me crazy, but VA Tech is nothing special IMO, and while Illinois blows, they do play good defense, which makes a difference in post season play. That game could be a real crapper, lol

I would think Long Beach St gives Tennessee a game. Tennessee nothing special away from home IMO.

Davidson may upset Maryland too IMHO.

And I know they've been mentioned, but I agree that Albany may upset UVA and ODU may also beat Butler.

Lots of potential upsets really, because alot of teams who aren't that great got such high seeds....and I also think some of the lines on these games are going to be rediculous.

Oh, I left out the strong (IMO) possibility of VCU "upsetting" Duke....

FLORIDA +110 to win MW!! Only other team i see competing is Oregon and its worth a small wager at +1011
UNC and GTOWN are +167 and +170 respectively and TExas +1000 for their bracket...
Ohio State not to win south -132... Memphis +598, A&M +420, and Louie Louie +2274
West..Kansas +125, UCLA +339....I dont see anyone else

this year I can see any of the 12s win over the 5s.. I like Long Beach St. but not sure I'll pull the trigger and of course I'll probably take my Illini. Also I follow Butler pretty closely and I know that Graves has been struggling and is mentally not who he was earlier in the year.

After seeing the lines that were posted, here is what I like at first glance (mind you, I have to look into several more of these games more closely):

MIDWEST:
Arizona -2 (Purdue)
ODU +1 1/2 (Butler)
Oregon -9 (Miami OH)

WEST:
Villanova PK (UK)
Illinois +2 1/2 (V Tech --> homer play) Illini can win w/a strong defensive effort and keeping the pace slow and in a half court set, not the run-n-gun fill up the tin ACC style or the game could get ugly.
Holy Cross +7
Gonzaga +1 1/2 (Indiana)

EAST:
Marquette +1 1/2 (MSU)
USC -1 1/2 (Arkansas)

SOUTH:
Long Beach St. +7
Louisville -5 1/2
Penn +13 1/2 (Texas A&M)
Memphis -18 (North Texas)


Obviously have to do a lot more research and the such and most of these early looks will probably fall by the wayside, but yeah this is what caught my eye after looking 'em over. GO ILLINI!

I like most of those except Penn and I'm iffy on Holy Cross. But it seems like the Illini fans will be on the same side of a lot of games.
