Team 1: #7
Team 2: #6 Team 3: #8 Edit: These are not the only "big" wins these teams have had, you just cant compare a resume on the four or five games you selected.

That second team you mentioned, IMO you forgot about a lot of other big wins.
First of all, they went on the road to Boston College and destroyed a BC team at that time that was in first place of the ACC. This was actually the second time they beat BC during the season. Second, they beat Gonzaga at a neutral court when the Zags had their whole lineup. Remember, this was less than a month after Gonzaga beat UNC on that same court. How you can not call these big wins is beyond me? I would also call a win over Georgia Tech the last couple weeks of the season "big" considering how they finished up the year. Lets be fair here, not sure of the other wins teams 1 and 3 had but this is just my opinion.

All 3 teams have pretty solid wins besides the ones mentioned. I just threw the top 3 teams according to RPI that they beat in there. Not trying to give a bias to any team, just threw it together to have a little fun and see what ppl thought.

I know who team 3 is and they really impress me with some of those wins you mentioned. Did they deserve it over the Cuse? Maybe, maybe not. They did deserve it though.

Damn fellas, I was just tryin to see how ppl judged 3 relatively comparable teams without a name next to them. If Nova was a very prestigous program would they be a 5 or 6. Everyone is complaining about seeds, so i wanted to see what they thought. Anybody can look up the RPI and see what team's what, but thats not what I was going for.

Haha, I didn't need to look it up. I see what you're getting at though.
Nova is not getting a 5-6 seed wit ha 4-7 Top 50 record and 7-9 Big East record, that's not happening. They probably deserve a 7 (or an 8, but an 8 makes no difference fro ma 9 anyway). Look how much better Nova's upper echelon wins are then Duke's. Yet, Duke gets a 6? I have no problem with Villanova's seed, but Marquette, Notre Dame, Louisville all got screwed on their seeds BIG TIME. They all should be 1 line higher minimum, and that's being lenient. The Big East got totally disrespected Last edited by CuseFan10; 03-12-2007 at 09:40 AM.. |

I can live with that. By the way, I just saw an interview with Tim Izzo and he was complaining about Marquette being an 8 and having to play them in the first round. But then again, i would be upset too if my team was a 9 seed and had to play a team that was ranked in the top 20 for most of the year.

And to anyone who thinks that Duke should not be a six, I would like to know the teams seeded below us who should be above us. I really cant name any besides maybe Marquette and UNLV. Even Marquette is stretching it, they were inconsistent down the stretch also.
