now keeping in mind that brian butch will see more minutes and wendell white is not 100% healthy, i still like unlv in this game. joel anthony is a more than able big man coming off the bench and will give tucker fits if he tries to come inside on him. wink adams will have the assignment of kamron taylor and adams is by far the best defender on the team. you saw how wisconsin played in the 1st half against corpus-christi when taylor was ice cold. expect to see similar results today as adams will be on taylor like glue. i see a 6 point unlv win.

not alot of hokie followers on here but i just like their spot today. jamont gordon, who led the acc in steals, will be given the assignment of jamaal tatum. you dont lead the acc in steals and not be a solid defender. also coleman will be given the role of falker and coleman has been far from a mediocre defender this season as he nearly shut down hansbrough and mcroberts. shaw is questionable today for siu and though he will likely play, its hard to say how much of a factor he will be.

two teams that can shoot the lights out, i will give the edge to the more uptempo offense and full court pressing team in tennessee.

Winthrop + 3 1/2

winthrop is better than most teams think they are and they will prove it today as i think the ducks just arent ready for a team like winthrop. oregon has no answer for bradshaw in the low post and winthrops offense generates around bradshaw. if bradshaw dominates down low it opens up the three point line, if winthrop starts hitting from 3 pt it opens up down low, either way winthrop has a big advantage IMO and win by DD.

Memphis -5

talk about a disadvantage right off the bat here. memphis is a team stocked full of athletes who like to run run run at an uptempo pace, nevada is a slow and methodical team who dont necessarily have the best set of athletes. nevada isnt known to be a pressing team here which favors memphis as they will want to run the entire game, i havent seen alot of love for the tigers on here and im not sure why. dozier and dorsey will constantly pound the ball inside against fazekas and try to get the senior in foul trouble. i just dont think nevada has the athletes to stay in this one as i see a nevada win only if they shoot about 60% from the floor, i like memphis by DD.
