McCain Passes Obama in Gallup Tracking Poll, a First Since June
Tuesday, August 26, 2008

John McCain passed Barack Obama in the daily Gallup tracking poll Tuesday, suggesting the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee has received no bounce after naming Joe Biden as his running mate.

The three-day average poll, taken after the vice presidential announcement Saturday, shows McCain with 46 percent and Obama at 44 percent, within the margin of error. It’s the first time since Obama sealed the nomination in June that McCain has surpassed him in the polls numerically, if not statistically.

LOL most americans think every arab is a bad person and doesn't even know their is two sects over there let alone the difference between the two and id think it be important to americans and the most powerful leader in the world to know the name of foreign leaders and what country they are foreign leaders of. As for McCain passing Obama in the Gallup Poll that don't mean **** after they send Hillary and terry mccullough to ohio to wheeling in the blue collar vote, ed randell and joe biden in Pennsylvania to pull in that vote tim kaine and jim webb to bring in Virginia and Obama working the west Nevada, New Mexico (along with bill richardson), Colorado and then focus on Florida

Typical Lib response. You could keep me up for 2 weeks and waterboard me for most of that time spin me around 50 times and sit me down and I would know the number of states we have. But good retort.

i mean i have no problem having these discussions with you guys but when you hear

you don't scratch your head a little after you see this senile man with a straight face say putin is the president of germany or not have a clue whats going on in iraq or the middle east with this one (even though he PRIDES himself on being the foreign policy pro he claims to be)

and don't get me started on the economy (#1 issue) and johnny mac

I never said i was voting for Obama (or Osama as HD likes to call him) but no way i could ever bring myself to voting for a man who knows nothing on the economy (# 1 issue), has no clue about the middle east or the groups even associated in that area or has no clue what foreign leader is leading what country

"NO WAY NO HOW NO McCain"

Does Biden Complicate McCain's Choice?

By JEANNE CUMMINGS, Politico.com

DENVER (Aug. 27) - Democrat Barack Obama’s selection of Joe Biden as a running mate is complicating Republican John McCain’s analysis of his prospective vice presidential contenders.
Biden will make his formal debut Wednesday with a primetime address. McCain is expected to announce his pick after Obama accepts his nomination here on Thursday.

Some insiders are pressing McCain to make a strategic selection, one that beefs up his economic strength, enhances his chance to grab a state or amps up the partisan firepower.
“McCain knows Biden well. He knows how good he is as a knife fighter. He’ll take McCain apart,” said one Republican operative.
But a review of the much-rumored McCain shortlist clearly exposes the weaknesses each person on it might bring if matched up against the six-term senator from Delaware.
• The star of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney seemed to be rising this summer in tandem with voters’ increasing anxiety about the economy.
But a McCain gaffe over how many homes he owns — he told Politico he didn’t know the exact number — would take on new life if multimillionaire Romney became his running mate.
Democrats already have calculated that the two men own a dozen homes between them, valued at a total of about $35 million.
That message could hurt McCain in two ways: It undercuts his argument that Obama is an out-of-touch elitist and would make Romney a poor match to Biden’s middle-class upbringing and common-man appeal on the stump.

i agree with that article romney would make it tough as a VP, really aren't a lot of good choices for McCain, and we all know Biden will say whats on his mind (which i love) and tell you the truth

It's pretty f'n sad that Americans would be more concerned with the number of houses they own instead of their competency.
LBJ's yearly income is greater than the value of McCain's & Romney's properties!
LBJ is a competent player!
