Doc-O-Dunk.....I dabble a little in bases....started two years ago with pretty good success but last season I was above .500 but disinterested. I'll probably jump on a few. Had a great time in SC with the golf team, but damn am I sore from carrying the sticks for 36 holes 3 days in a row and 18 on the final morning. GL whatever ya do tonight!

GL, JoePa! You've had a great college hoops year. Look for more of the same next year.

One question: Been looking for you for a little input on Kenny Frease. Since you live up in NE Ohio, just wondering if you've seen this kid play. The X faithful are pretty exicted about getting him away from the big boys. He was offered schollys from UK, ND, MSU and UM. He looks like a pretty big boy...just wondering about his athleticism. Any insight? If there is any way X can get Yancy Gates, I honestly believe they may have their first Top 15-20 national recruiting class ever for 2008.

Any info on Frease is much appreciated.

Nigel.....

I saw Kenny Frease from Perry play this year and the 6'11" 245 pounder can be a load...he doesn't back down from anybody and is excellent posting up and establishing himself down low as well as being a scorer from that position. He is always around the hoop and manages to clean up alot of garbage. I think he is a little slow afoot sometimes to make fakes and counter the defense, once he commits to a move he's going and gets tripped up at times. Somebody needs to get him some buddy bands and work on his footwork! He scored 18ppg but most were simply post up moves against smaller opponents and cleanup.....he's good but needs to improve.

I think X can get Yancy Gates from Withrow.....I don't think Gates will go to Clemson, AZ, Michigan or Michigan State and think the competition for X will be from Cuse and UC! At 6'8" and 225# he has good size and can handle the ball pretty well for a big guy. He doesn't like to post up and would rather face the basket which could really affect his decision of where to play. He also needs work desperately at the FT line. I think he would be a great player for X, and had Tommy Ammaker not gotten fired at Michigan he probably would have ended up there......

Nice take for X if they can get both!
