what is your take on X today if you see this. Surprised the line is so low versus Rhoda Island....only -4.....

Just posted a little about this game in BB's thread. Xavier ABSOLUTELY HAS to win this game today. At 12-6, X has little margin for error the rest of the way. It is absolutely imperative that they win their remaining home games. X doesn't have any bad losses out of the 6 (Marquette, Baylor, @ K-State, @ WF, @ Butler, @ Temple), but X's only good wins are against a questionable Bearcat team and Dayton. URI is 15-2....but this will likely be their toughest game to date. Historically, X has won close games @ URI and has won pretty handily @ the Cintas Center. I realize this X team is not as good as year's past, but they are slowly gelling and working better together.

I will definitely be taking X tonight....they realize how important this game is and I think they'll show up after a tough loss @ Temple on Wednesday. Minus some defensive lapses, X played pretty well @ Temple....just lost to a better team who shot 65% from the field. However, there is something to be said for scoring 72 points @ Temple.

The line that really jumped out to me was Dayton....I think UD will really be ready to play and grab a road win in conference today against a dismal St. Joe's team. Dayton's style of play doesn't lend itself to blowout games...but I'm thinking they should have no problem beating St. Joe's today by DD's.

Watched the 2nd half of that one......X owned the last four minutes of the game! RIU just seemed to run out of gas and X made some great passes to the post! X was like a "free space"!

i've always been a closet X fan. Obviously OSU is where it's at but i guess growing up in Cincinnati i always liked X (played in a traveling team basketball tourney when i was like 10 there...lol...court was HUGE)......

DAMN!!!l Had my dad, sister, brother in law and their kids come over this afternoon....I drive up to Dorothy Lane Market and get some grub to grill...it is 50 degrees here this afternoon....I'm in the middle of grilling the Montgomery Inn Swordfish fillets on the grill and I don't get the X wager in....didn't get UD in either....I'm grilling my reel caught wild Alaskan King Salmon for myself and didn't get the Dukes in....hope I didn't lose a 3-0 night...honestly haven't seen the UD and Dukes score at this point. Either way, Crawford is a stud but X is extremely inconsistent.....they will win at home...but the road has been a failure thus far...we'll see how it works out.

X is a pretty easy to school to root for as long as you're not a UC fan or UD fan. I tend to think they do it the right way...honestly, when I went X, it was the best experience of my life...think that's why I've become a bigger fan the older I've become....I really enjoyed my four years there.

On a side note, my brother in law likes X, but he hates that they don't run screens for Redford...he might be onto something.

WOW!! Saved myself a 1-2 day....got lucky grilling for the family. Can't believe UD lost to St. Joe's....that is a BAD loss for the Flyers...Dukes are a snake bitten team...maybe they got that non cover Win because they deserved it. Temple and X appear to be the class of the A10 at this point....UD might have lost to St. Joe today, but as much as it pains me, I think UD will spank X @ the Arena next week.

That was really sad when that closed. 5 star restaurant in the freeking ghetto and people don't go down town anymore because of homie the homie and the high crime (plus all the built up areas like kenwood and even out further)

I always liked Chester's Roadhouse in Montgomery. Great local place IMO. It disappeared too for an Auto dealership...

Fighting Don Donohers are always a perennial turd in the A-10. They have never been able to do what X has done and taken that next step. To me they are the best of the rest in the A-10 every year.

JoePa, if you ever find yourself in southwest Ohio and want to go to a good gourmet grocery store, hit Dorothy Lane Market. The Swordfish was wild and shipped in today. Throw some Montgomery Inn sauce and grill it...while you keep slathering Montgomery Inn Sauce on it...can't go wrong....as long as you like sweet barbecue sauce.

The salmon was better.....marinated it in a garlic lemon sauce...it was wild and fresh...the only way to eat Salmon.

The Maisonette was good....next time you're in Cincy...go to Jeff Ruby's...thank me later....better yet, let me know you're coming and I'll meet you there...will likely pay for the meal too....

Chester's closed a long time ago...it was a quality restaurant...there have been about 10 other restaurants there since its closed...they have all failed miserably. I live about 15 mins away from there. It sucks because its such a nice location.

As for UD....they should be ashamed of themselves. That loss to St. Joe is inexcusable....now I'm sure I just jinxed X when they play them...either way...come on, UD. They were supposed to be the class of the A10 this year. Can't lose that game...that loss will mess with X's RPI....X has to play Fordham twice...talk about an RPI kller.

Not really Cincinnati, per se. I live in Lebanon. Really nice location...25 mins from downtown Cincy (why would I go there with the crime...except Jeff Ruby's), 20 mins from downtown Dayton (I have no reason to go there except Marion's Pizza), 30 mins from where I work and 1 hour 15 mins from downtown Columbus. There are worse places to live...plus has a very small town feel but has quality stores and groceries locally.
