A little info for tonight. As far as Dayton goes here is what I have on them. They have clearly not been playing as well as predicted or they are capable of in their last few games. Their biggest problem in losses has been two things defending the three point shot and scoring against zones. Tonight against SBU they should be able to address both of those problems. Paul Williams will be starting at the two presumably to control Chris Mathews, (leading 3 pt shooter and the man who will keep SBU in the game if SBU brings it). Matthews is averaging just over 3 3's per game and is the only Bonnies shooting a decent percentage. If Matthews doesn't go off (like Delroy James or F'in Dante Jackson) SBU should struggle to score. Kurt Huelsman has been very good at defending strong post scorers over his career and should be able to contain Nicholson (7 and 6 last year). If those two players don't break out SBU will really struggle to score.

As far as Dayton's offense having Fabrizius available to zone bust and provide instant offense is very important. He is the biggest weapon off the bench when they are starting to go through a scoring drought as he is a great pure shooter and the only player capable of coming in and dropping 2-3 3's in succession.

Although they have had their struggles on the road in the past they have played fairly well on the road with the exception of St. Joe's where the zone was a big problem. I like the value with their poor play of late and I expect a good effort since their season goals will be gone if they lose this game and the players have to know they can't afford a 3 game losing streak and this could be a springboard game with X and Charlotte coming in the next two games. Hopefully they aren't looking ahead but with their recent play that shouldn't be a problem. They also broke up their travel by stopping in Cleveland and practiced at the Cavs facility (M Johnson was a high school teammate of Lebron) so the travel into Olean will be lessened.
