As the fourth seed from the Western Division, Alabama (16-14, 6-10) opens the SEC tournament at noon Thursday in Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. As luck would have it, the first-round opponent is East No. 5 seed South Carolina (15-15, 6-10), the same team the Crimson Tide beat 79-70 without JaMychal (WTF kind of spelling is that) Green.

Reasons stemmed from Green's academic performance, sources have told the Press-Register, and Green was allowed back on the team two days later.
