> Utah (2-3, 0-2 MWC) travels to Louisville, Ky., for a Friday game against Louisville (3-2, 0-1 BIG EAST). The game will be televised live on ESPN starting at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time (6:00 p.m. MT) from Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.

> Utah leads the series with Louisville 2-0, including a 1-0 mark in Louisville. The Utes' only visit to Louisville was in 1997, when they played in the old Cardinal Stadium.

> Utah is 5-0 all-time against current BIG EAST schools. The last time Utah faced a BIG EAST opponent was in the 2005 Fiesta Bowl (2004 season). Utah beat Pittsburgh 35-7 in that game to complete a 12-0 season.

> Utah's Kyle Whittingham and Louisville's Steve Kragthorpe have coached against each other once previously - last December in the Armed Forces Bowl when Kragthorpe coached at Tulsa. Utah won 25-13.

> Utah is 7-7 in ESPN televised games (7-1 since 2002). The Utes are 17-8 all-time in Friday games.

> Utah is 2-1 in non-conference games this season, beating No. 11 UCLA (44-6) and Utah State (34-18), and losing to Oregon State (24-7).
