I very much agree with your rushing focused approach, but on that note it matters who you're rushing against just as much as how good your numbers are. Your stat is based on two lined home games which were the only two games this year the Spartans have been favored favored against Utah St. (2 TD favorite) and San Diego St. (1 TD favorite) and one game against UC Davis that wasn't lined, and they almost lost. Not the most critical filter to look at stats.

Good points across the board.

Strength of schedule is ALWAYS something to check into before reading too much into stats.

I do believe SJST is the right side as well.

Boise State is a GOOD team, but they're usually not even as close to as strong on the road (historically)
