Minnesota is a very weak ranked team and I'm not totally sure about true freshman DeLon Eckridge with the Gophers who haven't won on the road at Purdue since 1990. Off a 1-11 record last year, the Gophers have a weak SOS. Purdue is 2nd and Minny at 59th. Good spot for Purdue to snap a 5-game skid and a 17-game losing skid to Top 25 teams. I believe Painter will start getting smarter with the football, and he should have some success as the Gophers will give up yards in the air. Wouldn't it be nice if he didn't throw a pick all day!? I hope he doesn't, cause it will be a tough battle if they can't hang on to the ball. Taking two red-shirt seniors in Painter and Sheets to give the home crowd a show today in their homecoming game.

Agreed, Think Pur-who comes alive today. Minnesota's lone loss is to The Ohio State but all the Gophers' wins are against the Little Sisters of the Poor!

interesting u r on oregon vs asu but that is the right pick on 'paper'... and home field advantage is always helpful - get Oregon at 2.5 or 3 is probalby your pick...

I love OSU at home - prime time under the lights.. Pryor will come out on top. i didn't believe early in the season but now i'm a believer.. not an OSU fan - but that kid has some talent.. lanky too!

The more I think about Penn State the more I can see them pull this one out. I'll probably just lay off that game. Still looking hard at Oregon though.

For now, here's my BIG 12 play for the weekend. Iowa St. has been horrible converting on 3rd down, but A&M look to me to be worse in prevention giving up over 50% 3rd down conversion on defense due to a pass rush that struggles to get sacks allowing 67% pass completion rate. Iowa State is the #1 team in turnover margin in the BIG 12 at +8, and if they can keep moving the sticks for a change they should have control of this game. Their offense is a wee bit better than it's looked in the past two games I think, keeping this line at a FG instead of closer to a TD.

Been watching this game and everything in me says that Penn State pulls this out despite liking Ohio State prior to the game. PSU has shown a much more dynamic offense and is having success on the ground. Wells has been shutdown and that is a very bad sign for the Buckeyes. Ok, now seriously... this is it for me tonight.
