Thanks. GL to you guys as well.
Guess I should stay away from totals. 0-2, missing the one a 51.5 by a half point, after they had 43 in the 1h alone mostly as a result of turnovers and long plays, then the final dagger was a 4th qtr safety, lol To be honest, I was going to play NC ST (loser) BG (winner) and Boise (winner), then I kinda forced the other 3 because of something I saw with the lines, and all 3 turned out to be losers. My fault. I should know better. 2-4 (-2.80 units) Friday: Tulane +14 -105 2 units |

stifler moms- GL!....
you guys worry too much about lines moving and that stuff. the SCAR line moved from 46 to 47 1/2 before kickoff and it got smoked. I have told boiler this before and i will say it again....sharp money is not what it used to be because everyone has the same information now. sharp money "steam" type plays i saw an article on and they barely hit 50% in the last couple of years and are no where near what they used to be. Internet has changed all that. the information these guys used to dig up that you or i didn't have access to is now public knowledge. I mean sure, you probably don't like being on a dog that has 90% public money, but in the end you should handicap the games and play what you want to play. Relevant stats, trends, angles, scheduling spots, history, line movement, public percentages....they are all tools and nothing more. To ignore any of them is stupid, as is focusing too much on any one of them. I used all that stuff in considering a play but it is usually a whole bunch of those on one side that get me into a play. In the end the game is played on the field. I have no clue how anyone could have bet that SCAR game over last night. Not one factor pointed to the over, yet the line moved 1 1/2 points before kickoff. So what, IMO. I capped the game and im sticking with what i played is the way i feel. Anyhow, just some jibberish, but i still think some of you guys that focus soooo much on line stuff need to diversify your handiccapping and not pay so much attention to something that has less meaning the more information that is out there. Have a good season stif...

they actually had zero to do with the line moving, "sharp money", or "steam". I really don't use that stuff as anything more than a reference anymore to possibly point me to a game I should look into and see why the line is moving so much, and maybe I can get a good line by going against the move, like last night with Boise.
But last night's added plays had to do with something I notice at Pinnacle and how they move the juice on their lines as compared to some other books. Didn't work last night, but often it does. Oh well. I agree that (a) sharp money ain't what it used to be, and (b) the public is more educated than "they" used to be years ago too....but there are some obvious games (like Ore St last night) where EVERYONE is on one side, and the books want them there. I mean everywhere I looked probably 9 of 10 were taking the points with Oregon, and every tout on earth was taking them. Those plays where the whole world is on a weeknight dog will flame out just about every time. Not that every one will be as easy as last night with Oregon and that "high powered" offense being pretty much blanked and having really no chance from the opening kick, but my point is that there are still chances to find plays that fit the "fade the public" mindset. adding: Tulane ml +425 0.4 units |

gotcha...you said it was something you saw with the lines...thought you were on the line movement thing.....hence my response......trying to avoid paperwork so im looking for 4 or 5 minute snippets to take a break and figured i would respond. you know me, always 2 cents on something....lol.....
