Default Daws1089's Week 2 Plays

ytd:0-0

Colorado/Toledo Over 54
BYU/Tulane Over 53

1 unit

I think the Over 54 in the Toledo/Cu game is a reasonable line. CU should be able to move the ball on a small, weak MAC team, yet Toledo should be able to move the ball up and down the field on one of the weakest Big 12 teams. 54 isn't really calling for all that much.

Another total I liked was BYU/Tulane Over 53. BYU coming off of the upset, I think will allow an awful Tulane team to score some points before they wake up. At the same time, Tulane's D I think will be giving up some points so I don't think 53 would be hard to muster up. I want to see what the line does from here.

As per Flyers Fan requests, I am making an effort to look into college football totals more.

thanks Underdog. yes CU is THAT bad.

Is there anyone on this forum that is betting Stanford +3? Wake -3 has spread like wild fire and I originally liked it too, but now I don't know. If stanford and the west coast to east coast thing was going to be that big of an issue I'm thinking the line would be more. I know Wake lost last week at home as a 3 pt fav as well. I'd be worried about Wake now just because I see so many people on them without any reason besides the travel and game time.

Daws - The reasons I like Wake are the experience difference at QB. I expect Skinner to bounce back from a uncommon poor performance. Wake is a well disciplined team and I expect that ball security was a focus at practice this week and with their high percentage passing game I expect them to be able to move the ball.

While Stanford is off a big victory their opponent was terrible. Wash St got shellacked all last season and I didn't see any improvement last week and due to that I think Stanford's performance is a little dissappointing from last week. They had a couple big plays but otherwise didn't really dominate as much as I had expected. The two long trips to start the season will test them mentally and while I think Harbaugh has things going in the right direction I don't expect a top performance.

I see some balanced wagering from other places on this game although it does appear on here that most are backing Wake. But I wouldn't expect to see a lot of people backing a west coast team off an easy win going east to a team off a tough loss. I like Wake by 10-14 points.

Thanks for that Franchise. I too saw that the action was balanced, but couldn't for the life of me understand why it wasn't balanced here. Hopefully Predictem is on the right side of this.

Adding:

Virginia Tech -19.5

1 unit

Tech's home opener should be a blowout. Their defense will make all the difference in this one. I don't expect Marshall to score many points in this one, but VT should be able to score a bunch.
