Default Vegas deals anyone?

A group of guys and I have been going to Vegas once every February and we have been staying at the Plaza downtown. We're rather cheap but we like to play donkey-limit poker, as well as three-card and the lower-key atmosphere hits us nice. That being said we usually take one of the three or four days of our trip and hit the strip - usually popping in and out of casinos and more sight-seeing than anything.

Since we've been at the Plaza for the last few years we've enough player points in order to get some cheaper rates on rooms for the stay. We normally stay Wednesday or Thursday night through Saturday night and leave Vegas Sunday morning.

Keep It Simple Stupid: Has anyone found a better place online or anywhere where we may find cheaper rates? Looks like it will be just under $100 per person for the whole trip...

Thanks all.

Under $100 for 3 or 4 nights is a good deal. Even though it is the Plaza, which is probably one of the dirtiest, dumpiest, musty smelling places in all of Las Vegas, it's still a decent deal as it does keep you close to a bunch of casinos Downtown.

But if you're using the rooms for a few hours of sleep, no big deal.

Room rates are up this year all over LV about 8% from last August' numbers. The average nightly rate is $126. So if you're looking for cheaper than $100 for the entire trip, you're not going to find it.

Also keep in mind the normal vacancy rate in hotels in the US is 63%, but in LV it's been holding steady at 91%. Demand remains high, and as a result, rates are up.

Have fun, don't sweat $100. Hell, that's about 10 minutes at a table. And in 1 night alone you're going to get back that $100 in cocktailzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Hey NevadaJay - thank you for the response. Again, we don't mind the "dirty musty smell" though I honestly haven't noticed it. I will this year probably. Ha, ha. I think in four nights I had about a total of ten to 12 hours of sleep, so the room is a place to shower, and grab a nap.

Mmmm cocktails.

Thanks again for the information sir.

Me & my buddies are going out there in December - just booked a room for 4 nights at Flamingo for $55 a night.

You want cheap/free then go on a time share seminar.

Did it a couple months ago. Sat through a 90 minute presentation, stayed for 4 nights at the Imperial Palace, buffet coupons, a ton of other coupons, $100 gas card, etc
