per wikipedia:

Season 7 will premiere in late spring 2008 and will consist of 13 one hour episodes. This will be the final season according to its creator and the network.[6]

The Shield creator, Shawn Ryan, has stated that due to his affiliation with the Writers Guild of America strike, he does not intend to be present on the set of the final episode of the series. He also does not plan to participate in editing the final episode

Anybody else frothing for the premier episode? Best show ever!

yea! i was really disappointed with how last seasons finale went and i cant wait for this season.

BEST SHOW EVER. I agree. I can't wait. I thought Vic was bad ass in the last episode of last season. I wasn't personally disappointed with it.
