NBA referee Tim Donaghy is under investigation by the FBI for allegations that he bet on games that he officiated over the past two seasons and that he made calls affecting the point spread in games, multiple sources said.

No way to stop it, but if the nba will just install more cameras in the arenas and have a replay booth filled with people and monitors, (1 on every camera), they can make an impact..

I know this is mob involved and nothing to do with Vegas probably, but still kind of ironic they finally caught a guy when Stern caved and was actually thinking about posibly letting a team go to Vegas.

I gotta be honest, I don't even know who Tim Donaghy is off the top of my head.

yeah, i remember a game he was reffing and the guy took off from half court for the basket, never dribbled, got foulded about the 3 point line....proceeded to dunk the basketball and the gave him the basket AND a FT.......

oh wait, that's the rules...my bad nevermind.....

Damn and to think that everytime I bitched bout the refs fixing the games...HMM maybe I was right once or twice...DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEERRRR....

Fu#king GREAT! I have this co-worker who is always SCREAMING aoubt this is fixed, that is rigged.....etc....if you let him tell it, football and basketball are like the WWE?? then stories like this come out and only help to fuel his fire....

does make you wonder though, last minute foul calls when the game isnt close in score but VERY close to the spread.......HMMMM, If you think about it, b-bALL is by far the easiest sport to manipulate, especially if your the ref....LOL!! Either way it sucks!!!!
