I don't disagree with your technique, just thought I'd point that out. Your style (betting large on one game) is much more dangerous to someone who doesn't know what they're doing than flat betting. Obviously most people aren't going to be able to afford a bad losing streak at a few hundred bucks per game. The key to flat betting is discipline, and not over reacting to losing streaks, or winning streaks. Something most people do not do. Winning streaks turn $50 bettors into $150 bettors, and it's all downhill from there. Oddly enough, losing streaks do the same, with people trying to chase losses. No matter what your style is, not betting more than you can afford to lose is the bottom line. |

I agree. I've been playing a couple a day for the last couple of years and you come up and you go down, it gets very repedative. I was thinking about upping those plays, but still the ratio is the same. That's really where the juice kicks in as well. Win a -110 and lose a -110, well there's the juice. I think its smarter to go 220 (or more) on the one you feel most confident on.
Plus you lose the feeling of action. You can go up a couple or lose a couple, and pretty much shrug at it, I swear it's not even fun anymore. But when you have big action on one game, you get the feeling back. I don't think you have a problem, but I know I have one. |

bet 4 last night (all dogs) and won 3. As a matter of fact, last night, I took the rox.... last night I was limited on time, while making my bets, so I used a method I use many times, which has been profitable: Check the line movement.. here are the 3 winnas I had last night: was (line moved 20pts toward them, with 1/4 public on them) tbd (line moved 50pts toward them, with 1/4 public on them) col (line moved 40pts toward them, with even action) I flat bet 4 & won 3(min +110 was my loser) Results: min -100 was +200 tbd +150 col +116 400 risked, & 466 won.... ROI .... ![]() |
