Default JML Tuesday MLB >>>

Updating...MLB YTD: 94-94, -33.32 Units

3-0 run the past 2 days...with my year so far, I'll take it. Glad I hit the Cubs hard last night, doesn't get much easier than that situation.
Couple more today...

Yankees -134 (Wang) vs Rays
Don't back NY too often, but I like them in this spot to even up the series coming off a big loss last night. TB has been rolling, winning 5 straight, but are in tough against Wang IMO. Wang has been money all year, has pitched well on the road, and the Yanks have only lost once in his starts...that against the insane Cliff Lee. Wang has also owned TB over his career, and has one shutout win against them this year already. On the other side...Edwin came into his last start struggling, and was able to shut down the Jays. I'll chalk that up to the Jays absloute horrible hitting, and I suspect the Yanks are able to get to Edwin tonight. They tagged him for 5 ERs their last meeting a few weeks ago. Yanks also have traditionaly played great at Tropicana...getting huge support, making it a road "home" game. I don't see them getting swept there by the Rays...and this is their game to win, IMO. Probably come back with Shields over Mussina tomorrow.

Royals -112 (Grienke) vs Tigers
Grienke always seems to be under-valued....team perceptions I guess...even though Robertson sucks (4+ ERs EVERY start this year), the Tigers have the worst pitching in baseball, and a shitty bullpen. But hey, they signed Cabrera, so they should win against lowly KC right? Grienke has been as consistantly good as any starter in the AL, and has only layed more than -125 once this year. It really is amazing again we can get him laying 15 cents at home to Robertson IMO.

3 Units Each

GL

They're not going to go on a 124 game winning streak to end the season. lol. The other way to look at it is maybe this is the best time to play against them...as you would normally get about -170 for the big bad Yanks and Wang facing the Rays and Edwin.

Just like the spot I guess...GL!

makes sense to go for the value but even though i am a yankee fan who lives in tampa i cant do it. usually to appease my son (who was born in tampa) i root for the rays when they play the yanks cause the rays need it more but this year i'm actually starting to follow the team.

GL tonight JML! I'm with you on KC but I also couldn't pull the trigger on the Yanks.. I'm taking the under 8.5 instead with Wang and Jackson going against each other...

Hopefully Yanks win 1-0!

like both the plays jml, Greinke continues to be undervalued and Wang at these kinda numbers is almost forcing you to make a play. I haven't locked in anything yet but am strongly leaning towards kc

Jays +111 vs Twins
I don't buy Slowey as a fave....Jays pitching has been great, and I'll take them as a dog against an unproven starter for a couple units...lame bats and all...

2 Unit

Yanks lose late...thought that was a good play...Wang did his shit, but props to Edwin......still a winning night with the Gienke win and the Jays (pitching) add-on....3rd night in a row on the plus side, needed this....... now where do I trade in my 1992 Roberto Alomar jersey (keeping my 2003 Halladay Cy jersey) for a 2008 Rolen Jersey....what a player...best defensive player I've seen since Robby, and he's been hitting well......enjoy Glaus Cards fans...

Yeah, Daws...I've just never seen him play every day. He started the year on the DL...and showed up like a solid piece. Every ball to 3rd that should be taken care of, has. Every ball that was a tough play...was an out. Add on a couple gold glove plays in the month he's been here, and I'm impressed. Every throw he put to 1st has been right on the money. I just appreciate that shit. He's a ballplayer. It's early...but the guy is the 2nd best defensive infielder I've seen LIVE behind Alomar.

Cuse...what's your take on him as an all-around player? I'm an AL guy that's blown away by his skills (especially on D)...and shit, I'm almost thinking about to picking him up on the offensive side for our fantasy, he's plugged into 3rd for TO, and he's come out hitting 300+...

He's had injury problems...but that is a baseball player...

He was injured 2 of those 3 years. Last year and 2005. In 2006 he hit 300, hit 22 HRs and 95 RBIs, and was a gold glover. He's a "good" hitter and one of the best all time to play 3B. 7 Gold gloves. He says he's 100% and likes being in a new league and new situation. And for 1for1 with that lazy fuck Glaus...that's a steal, IMO. I don't know....I'm just impressed from what I've seen so far...
