Starting off tonight with a parlay...

Cincy has Cueto on the mound who has been much better of late and isn't trying to blow it past everyone. He's pitching much smarter in what I've seen, and hasn't given up a long ball in his last 3 starts. I feel like he gained some value when Volquez took off, putting him in the shadows somewhat. Better yet, the Nats are the weakest team in the NL right now. The Reds didn't shine in June either, but with Keppinger and Hairston back, and if Bruce continues to make adjustments, they're in much better shape. I know Dunn is sitting tonight for rest, but he's available to PH. Nats pen has been quite an adventure the past week with 3 blown saves. The 5 QS Lannan put together, the Nats should have won those games. Missed opportunities is their story this year, and I think this one is going to be pretty tough despite Cincy's poor hitting vs LHP, because fact is Reds are 7-3 in their last 10 home games vs. a left-handed starter.

I'm actually a fan of this guy Garrett Olsen. He's been trying to piece together back to back wins for a long time now, and I think he's got a damn good chance tonight opposite Kyle Davies. I'm hoping that Davies' 4 games of luck are gone, because this guy is a weak arm. Plus the Royals bats seem to be cooling off in Baltimore as fast as they got hot. Based on the previous three games trend, they should hit about .200 tonight. Royals are 0-4 in Davies' last 4 starts when their opponent allows 2 runs or less in their previous game. I see Baltimore finishing this one out in what should have been a 4-0 sweep series, because Home Ump Mike DiMuro is 16-2 for the home team this year. I just see really good odds on what could be two easy winners. Combined record 46-32 home teams vs. combined 35-54 road teams. Good Luck tonight fellers!

Royals put up a 7 spot in the 6th as the O's pissed the game away. Didn't think they'd do it twice in one series, but they finished the way they started with another blown game from the pen. Tough break, as Cincy won in convincing fashion, but at least I'm not eating any chalk. Back tomorrow.
