Today is the luckiest day of the century 8/8/08 so I'm starting with a parlay tonight. O's have been riding the coattails of Guthrie's quality starts, and I don't think they'll get bucked tonight with Mendoza on the mound and a horrid pen behind him. Not to mention a road Rangers lineup missing Kinsler, Murphy, Bradley, and Blalock. I also like the Twins because Slowey seems to be very predictable. Some teams he can beat, and some he can't. Slightly worse away from the dome, he tossed a 9 inning shutout in KC already this year, so I'm thinking he can at least snag a QS. If he does that with a good pen behind him, he should pick up another W while facing Davies who based on his laborious last three starts is for a short night. His numbers don't look bad (yet) but he's not fooling anyone with his stuff, throwing 90 pitches in 5 innings on a regular basis is a bad sign. Good Luck ladies and gentlemen!

I'm not trying to rub it in, but Davies doesn't make it through 3 innings. Even if the Twins don't win this game, I'm so glad I was on the game where he finally got yanked early.

Trying to stick with the lucky day and making another parlay. If the game is tied in one game this will still count as a parlay but the odds will change obviously. Atlanta at +100 and Dodgers at -125 Risking $180 to win whatever.

In honor of football starting here in the great state of California, the Prop De Jour today will be for the game tonight in the Coliseum. Since there are no props yet, it's a teaser. I like Oakland tonight, but preseason is anyone's game so 8 points is worthy in a bay area matchup, and taking the over seems to be much safer so far. 4 TD's has happened in all but 1 game this preseason. I don't bet pre-season, so just for fun tonight!
