MLB Opening Day '09

sucks the weather is so ridiculous right now. it's snowing in freaking April. WSOX/KC and BSOX/TB games have already been PPD. geesh. anyway, on to the picks.

Rangers +105 - gonna fade Cliff Lee as i'm just not buying his season last year was for real. No way he gets through that gauntlet of a lineup without giving up at least 4-5 runs. Millwood isn't great but he's the best the Rangers have, and is capable of a solid outing. (1 Unit)

Cubs -112 - spring training means less than nothing but the Astros were TERRIBLE this spring. so terrible that i think it raises some red flags. i think they may be the worst team in MLB this year. hate backing Zambrano but at a small fave, i'll bite. (1 Unit)

Orioles +178 - more of a value play than anything. just a ridiculous line considering how terrible C.C. was to start the season last year, not to mention how well the Orioles seem to play the Yankees. (1 Unit)

Nats/Marlins Over 8 -115 - two pretty unproven pitchers with less than stellar bullpens. throw in 2 pretty decent offensive lineups with some promising young talent and this is a play for me. (1 Unit)
