Default Vicente Padilla million dollar arm 2 cent head

I'm picturing Vicente Padilla getting very rattled by a combination of bad calls from the umpire, a fly ball ending up a homerun, and the philadelphia crowd. It happened to CC Sabathia, Chad Billingsley, and Matt Garza last year and Padilla is a prime candidate for this year along with his buddy Jonathon Broxton.
Was anybody else surprsied with how scared Broxton was of Matt Stairs last game. Instead of saying you got lucky last year old man, now I'm gonna throw my 100 mile an hour fastball up and in and strike you out on 3 pitches, he put his tail between his legs and proceeded to walk him on 4 pitches. He then hit Ruiz and proceeded to lose. Padilla will follow in these footsteps. While he has great stuff within the confines on a very comfortable Dodger Stadium, I believe he will unravel in a hostile Citizens Bank Park.

Phils to the world series!!

Lefties hit Padilla very well. His numbers in night games are way worse than in day games as well.

What he does however have going for him is that he's been "hot" lately but I agree and think all that noise ends tonight.

Good luck!

First off, I like your reasoning, and it just may be legit.

I did want to add though that CC had pitched on 3 days rest that year for pretty much the entire month of Sept and had to be just exhausted. Garza was young and on top of it his road numbers were very poor last year for the whole season. It was $$ to bet against TB all year when he started on the road last year, so his WS start in Philly really was nothing new. Billingsley is young too, and the jury is still out on him IMO after a poor year this year and nit even making LA's postseason rotation

Padilla is at least a veteran and he has been rolling lately, 2 things in his favor at least. Plus I wouldn't trust Hamels any more than Padilla tonight if I were to bet this one.

Philly's momentum is really hard to ignore though after game 4. LA wins that game and they take the series, IMO, but now even if they win tonight, it's probably just a matter of time anyway with Lee looming, who we have all seen has been all but unhittable so far this postseason, so another question is where are the dodgers heads at tonight, having blown a great opportunity to tie the series up and now knowing it's probably off to the golf course sooner rather than later....

GL with your play tonight.
