Default Angels in Game 6

If Angels win Game 6, that will force Yanks to use CC in game 7 and put them in some bad shape against the Phillies since they will have their entire rotation set up with Lee most likely going in Games 1, 4, and if necessary 7. Anyone else agreeing with this?

Blasphemy!!!
We are still in this!!!

Ha, nah I'm kidding. I'm happy to make it this far. If we go to the WS I'll be more shocked than anyone here.

If game 6 gets rained out Saturday night I wouldn't be too shocked to see CC on the mound again on 3 days rest on Sunday to play Game 6. If that was the case and they won, then they wouldn't be able to use CC in game 1 either.

My point of view, CC isn't an automatic W against the Phills... so it won't matter. Let's see how the weather pans out on Saturday. Too early to say.

Dodgers and Rockies weren't able to expose philly's **** pitching, and when they did philly's offense had the answer. I'm thinking either NYY or LAA blast that staff after Lee in the WS. It's a matter of can the Phils offense continue to answer? That Phillies offense is very dangerous so it is certainly possible.

And to count out LAA right now is very premature. Other than the CC games LA has outplayed NY in every one and could easily be the team leading this thing 3-2. Yanks ubhittable bullpen is faltering too except Rivera and pitching all these guys on 3 days rest time after time is stupid and will catch up to them, imo.

I agree with everything Stif says except the 3 day rest thing. Pitchers are pampered these days. There is no reason these guys cant be productive on 3 days.

You could be right Larry, but look how CC fared with MILW last year after he pitched a few consecutive times on 3 days rest. I just think they're not used to it and not conditioned for it, so they start to lose their stuff.

I do agree 100% that pitchers are too pampered though. 100 pitches and you're out, lol

Lackey was PISSED last night when he got yanked, and rightly so imo. Gotta like a guy who wants to finish what he started, plus he's the LAA ace with lots of playoff experience and success. Sink or swim with your best, right? Plus he had Posada struck out looking and the ump totally blew the call. Lackey had every right to throw his arms up and question that call, because the ump missed it. Then 2 batters later Damon flies out. Would have been inning over, no runs, no damage. Instead Lackey is pulled, and all hell breaks loose off Oliver. UMP nearly cost LAA that game and series. Would have been a ****ty way to go out for an LAA team who is fighting their asses off to hang in there when they're probably just a tad outmanned.

There have been alot of really bad ball & strike umps in these playoffs so far. Bad for and against all teams too, not just for or against any one in particular....

It's official, game is rained out.

Now, if we take game 6, do we play Lackey on 3 days rest? Should we start Santana for once? Weaver can pitch as well, thick shell. As dumb as it sounds I like Kazmir to start it, that's why we got him...

Risky move, but if it hits then we're solid for the WS.

One game at a time.
