Only two plays last night. Won my favorite pick of course and lost my dog pick, so I broke even for the day.


Phillies +107 vs Cincinnati……….Charlie Manuel had a closed door meeting before yesterdays game and the phillies responded with a great effort led by Cole Hamels 15 k’s. This team has way too much talent to have the worst record in baseball. I think Garcia today shows why the phillies signed him to be their ace of this staff and the phillies are going to win two in a row for the first time this year. Throw in the fact that they have been made the dog today and I am all over this one.

Arizona +175 vs San Fran………..I don’t care who is pitching in this one, San Fran should not be this big a favorite over anybody. Giants are not all that great. These are two even teams and +175 is way out of line here. Great value with the diamondbacks today.

Yankees +167 vs Boston…………No doubt the pitching matchup favors the sox tonight, but this is the Yankees and the red sox and anything can happen. I know I could not trust the sox as this big a favorite. I will not pass up the Yankee bats getting +167. Something tells me A-rod homers on national tv tonight. I hate the Yankees with a passion, but I got to take value when I see it.

Atlanta +110 vs Mets…………..Does it seem like Glavine vs Smoltz every time these two teams face each other? Does to me. These two seem to take turns beating each other. My guts tells me to go with Smoltz and the braves.


With my great record so far this year with favorites, I find it odd that I played four dogs todays. Not sure what that means. When I make my picks I don’t set out to take certain things. I only have one rule of no single bets on favorites 150 or over. All I need today is to go 2-2 to make a profit. I think I am going to spend the whole day outside today and not watch any games or even pay attention to scores. We finally have some warm summer weather in my part of the country and I am going to spend all day outside.
