Back to back losing days, not a good sign. I would like to blame it on being sick, but that would be a lie. Since there have been no doctors offices open Sunday or Monday, I ended up going to the ER last night. I have strep throat and bronchitis and and inner ear infection. I have had it now for five days and it kept getting worse to the point where I don’t even sleep at night. Could not wait until Tuesday for my family doctor to open. I felt stupid going to the ER over being sick though. I still feel terrible, he said by Tuesday I should start feeling better with the antibiotics he gave me. I hope so. Enough rambling about me being sick.

Not a full schedule today, I am surprised at that. I have not lost back to back days in a while and have not had a real slump yet this year. It may be coming so be careful for those who follow my picks. Here are my Memorial Day picks.


Atlanta +120 vs Milwuakee………….Very important game for the braves with the mets threatening to run away with the nl east. As much as I hate to admit it being a phillies fan, the mets and braves are probably the two best teams in the national league. Brewers had the great start, but have been brought back down to earth. Brewers are a improved team and a very good team, but I think the braves are better. I have to try the braves as a dog here.

Arizona +138 vs Phillies…………This one looks too easy for the phillies who just got the broom out in Atlanta and have Garcia one of the better pitchers throwing that they acquired from the White Sox in the off season. I see a possible letdown here. Plus something is wrong with Garcia. He is not the same pitcher as he was in the american league. I don’t think he and Charlie Manual get along very well either. There is something going on with him and he is just not right. He was supposed to be their savior this year, and they can’t seem to win when he is on the mound. Phillies should win this game, but they won’t. I can feel it.


Florida +141 vs Cubs…………….Gut feeling on this one, no numbers to back this unless you count the many times the Cubbies choke and lose games they should not. Florida is capable of beating anybody. They are either great or horrible, at least it feels that way. I cannot trust the Cubs as a favorite either. I guess I am just hoping the fish are on today and the cubs choke again.


That is all from me today. Still feel like crap and I have lost the past two days. Notice I played three dogs today. Even at 1-2 I don’t take a beating and at 2-1 have a decent day, get lucky and go 3-0 for a nice day and there is no way all three go down, I know that. I am taking Tuesday off work, doctor is making me, so I will more than likely post all my plays early in the morning.
