(38-33)(+16.89 units) underdog bets

(101-70)(+34.04 units) overall

Not a bad night last night as I went 3-1 picking up 2.43 units. Won my only favorite play and won two of three underdog plays. Got my 101st win of the year as well. After losing back to back days again, I came up a winner. Lets see if I get win two days in a row now. I have not been able to lately.

Mets -128 vs Arizona……………Once again, I will take the Mets at home at this price vs just about anybody. I know Webb is throwing for Arizona, so the diamondbacks might have a small pitching advantage, but not much of one. The leaves the offenses and I will take the mets any day over Arizona. It is that simple sometimes. Definite value only laying -128 in my eyes.

Boston -107 vs Yankees………….Are you kidding me? Only -107? I know this is a rivalry and all that, but they yanks suck right now. Yanks I think won the series at New York recently, so it is time for payback. Hopefully Wakefield’s knuckler is knuckling tonight. If so, Boston is going to kill the Yankees while they are down. I love it.

That is all for the favs for tonight. I said I was going to search for some dogs, so here is what I came up with.

Atlanta +159 vs Cubs……………..At first this appears to obvious, but not really. Cubs are a decent team, they are at home and they have Zambrano throwing for them. So yes, they should win. But I say throw in the fact the braves are a good team capable of beating anybody vs the Cubs who are capable of losing to anybody and we have a live dog here. Worth a shot at these odds in my opinion.

Washington +210 vs San Diego………..These are the kind of huge favorites that lose. It looks like you could take a million dollars and put it on Jake Peavy and the Padres. He has been nearly unhittable. My gut tells me he will lose to this Washington team. It is at Washington, so they have a chance. Peavy is not going to win 25 games this year, he will lose some games and I think this is a bad situation for him tonight. I am asking for a small miracle, but I have a crazy feeling the Nats pull this one out. Go ahead….call me crazy. Won’t be the first time and I have been called worse.

San Fran +122 vs Phillies………………There is just something wrong with these phillies, I can’t put my finger on it. Maybe it is the manager. I am sure plenty of people would agree with me on that one. Morris shut the phillies down already once this year, so he is capable of doing it again. Phils have Eaton on the mound. I have bet against him more than I have on him this year. I have made it know that I am not thrilled with him and did not care for it when the phils picked him up in the off season. Phils also appear to put a ton of pressure on themselves when playing at home. Some of their better series wins have been on the road, like sweeping Atlanta recently. I just don’t trust this phillie team right now unless Cole Hamels is pitching for them.

I think I better stop at five plays. One favorite and four doggies. I like that combination.
