These lines are pretty screwy. Igawa sucks and he is a fairly big favorite over a good pitcher, Gaudin. I know there is a NYY tilt in lines, but the difference in pitching is rather huge here. That being said, Gaudin has not been strong in his last three appearances, giving up 12 ER, 22 hits and 9 BB in 17 INN to Cincy, Cle and Houston. Cincy and Houston are not very strong offensively.

I look for a high scoring game here.

Baltimore +125 ............................3*

Colon's best days are behind him. He gets great offensive support from the bats otherwise he would be 3-6 not 6-3. His ERA has blown up big in the last month and a half.

Cincinnati is a possible play later....

A's are in a major slide, losing 7 of 8 on this current road trip....and the 9th of a 10 game trip doesn't seem like the spot for them to start winning. I wouldn't at all be shocked to see the Yanks break out the brooms this weekend, even with Haren going tomorrow for OAK. As far as Gaudin, he's overrated IMO because he had a good start to the season. I remember when he was just another bum on the Tampa pitching staff with a double digit ERA....sure, he's better now than he was then, but he's still not that great if you ask me. Walking a batter nearly every other inning like he has isn't a good plan against the Yanks either.

I would tend to agree with the BAL play, as I think Colon is washed up, but the guy BAL has pitching for them today doesn't go deep into games, and their pen is just complete **** IMO....blowing another late lead last night. I think the price is good for BAL, but still, I have a hard time laying $$ on the O's if i know that pen is going to certainly get involved. I prefer the dog line I'll certainly get tomorrow on Guthrie vs Lackey.

Agree with pen comments on Baltimore, but think it is worth the +125 shot. Line has dropped a little to +121 even though the public is seeming to back the Angels.

Anyone who gives up back too back jacks too Kendall and Stewart(combined 7 HRS going into today) might need too get his velocity checked. Gaudin should not be able too keep up what he is doing, so Go Yanks.
