Default This is one crazy month any advice on how to get out of being down 1500 already?

Damn, I cant hit a god damn play! Every time I pick a dog it loses, all my unders are going over. I'm almost done with baseball, I did the right thing by hitting games hard in April and now I cant do anything right. Its going to be hard to get out of this hole unless I can hit a play for a 1000, but I need to go to pinnacle for that.

maybe stop "betting" the $1,000 plays you say you bet ....and post only when you hit them? (lower your betting amount and play a % of your bankroll)

I've had a bad month as well. Ever since interleague play I am hitting about 20%, if that. Wish I had the answer for you. I've never been one to fade my own plays, but I dont mind fading the public.

Tommorow is Friday. Go with some good home games and you should be alright.

Yeah sometimes when I'm going through a horrible slump I stop betting money and just track the pics I would have made in excel. If you group them by categories (like home/away dogs, home/away faves, over/under etc.) you can usually find at least something that starts working for you. Also, if you can't buy a win, betting such a high amount would probably be the worst possible thing you could do. Hope the **** storm passes you soon though man, GL.

Time to evaluate what you're doing...if you're blindly picking winners, my suggestion...wait for Football. If you're playing a system, re-evaluate your system, and your money management. It looks like interleague play nailed you. To that I'd say you're not the only one. Finally, if you constantly are in fact making $1000 wagers, and you're only $1500 down...Stop Whining! Everyone hit's streaks and you'll turn things around..

pf,

Follow these simple rules:

1. Bet 2% to 2.5% of your bankroll per game ($500 bankroll then $10 per game, $5000 bankroll then $100 per game) This way if you have to have a 50 game losing streak before you make another deposit.

1a. Say you start with $1000 bankroll then bet $20 per game until you increase your balance by 10 units (20*10 or $200), then increase your 2% based upon the new amount 2% * $1,200= $24/game until you hit 10 more of your new units (24*10=$240 or $1200+240=$1440) then up it to $28.00 per game (2% of $1440). NEVER DECREASE THE UNITS PLAYED------unless you fall back below your starting point - in this example $1000.00.

1b. ALWAYS bet the same amount on each game (unless you have decided to increase the amount on each game).... Don't do 2x on Arizona, 4x on Tampa Bay, etc. 1x on all plays and 1x=2% of your balance.

2. Forget about the $1000 you lost and move on

3. Do not bet parlays

4. Have more than one book

5. Don't chase losses (see #2)

I think you want someone to say: "Lay $1000 on Cincinnati tonight" and you will be great. I think that is the wrong way to go.
Remember gambling is the turtle and the hair:
slow and steady wins the race. The guy who bets $1,000.00 per game starts out strong but will fade quickly when he hits a losing streak, the guy who bets 2% of his balance will win in the end.

I am a big Cincy fan and NOTHING is worse then watching Lohse pitch. I guarantee the following will happen:

Reds go up 1 or 2 to nothing (in the first, second or third inning)

the next inninng after the reds score 1 or 2 runs, Lohse will let a guy get in scoring position. As soon as this happens all hell will break lose. With a guy on 2nd or 3rd, the next batter will be walked OR the next batter will hit a 2 run home run. If it is the former (batter walked), then the next batter will hit a 3 run home run.

After the home run given up by Lohse, there will be AT LEAST one time in a later innning in which Arizona loads the bases with 1 or 0 outs.

Things will go fine until the 5 or 6th inning at which time Cincy will turn to the Bullpen (if they weren't already forced to after the bases loaded with Lohse or his replacement). Stanton, Cutalangous, Weathers, or someother pitcher who could not make the AA team for any other MLB team will come in and things will be fine until the 8th inning at which point the Diamondbacks will load up at leat two runs.

Here are other predictions:
The reds will have the bases loaded at least once and score no runs.
Adam Dunn will committ an error.
Gonzalez will committ an error.
Adam Dunn will strike out if anyone is on base.
Adam Dunn will hit a home run if no one is on base.
Griffey will hit a home run if the reds are getting beat.
Griffey will do nothing if the reds are winning.
Ryan Freel will make a spectacular play which no one will know about because Dunn hit a HR with no one on base.

Lets see how many come true.

You can always try digging for diamonds in Arkansas or take a family vacation and forget about gambling for a while.

When all else fails, I tail Joepa. Than if you get on a bad streak you can blame him!!!!!

iF If David Ross has struck out 4 straight times, He'll hit a Home Run. If he's hit a Home Run, expect him to strike out 4 straight times!

I missed one. Thanks for catching it. I'll grade the predictions in this thread as I and at the tv.

Cincy went up early, and I was thinking "oh crap, Horfin predicted this!". Haha. They were able to hold up though.

On the other one, I knew the Angels would bomb on NY, but I really expected our pitching staff to hold up. Guess not.

Came up a little, nothing to talk about.
