Jays win at nearly a 2/1 pace vs LHP, and tonight Tom Halladay (lol) takes the mound. I'll take my chances getting them as a dog against the underachieving Yanks again.

Tampon Bay +105

Fading Swervin Ervin on the road....again. It's been $$$ ever since he's entered the bigs minus one or two starts a few weeks ago, and the fact that the Angels are ever a road fave with him pitching is a complete joke IMO.

Baltimore +155

This line is completely brutal. The public has heard all the hype on "King Felix", while Guthrie still flies under the radar, yet he has had a solid rookie season. He had a tough go last time around vs the White Sux, but I look for him to rebound just fine. He has only given up more than 3 runs twice in 15 starts this year (4 runs in 8 IP vs LAA and 5 runs in 3.2 IP vs CHW)....and even the 4 runs given up to LAA was in 8 full innings, so it's not like he got hammered that night. One rocking in 15 starts is pretty good in my book....but I guess what it gets you is that it justifies you being +155 when the public is 82% on Seattle.

May add a few yet later. I really liked the lines on these as soon as I saw em, so I played em early instead of waiting around to see what the lines did till later.

I know, it's crazy. My guess is that the public hasn't a clue who Guthrie is or what he's done so far this year, and all they see is King Felix against someone they never heard of.

Granted, Seattle should be favored on homefield advantage because they are a good home team, and Felix is quite capable, but maybe about -115 or -120. The -170/+155 line at the book I got this line at is just stupid IMO....and the fact that the public is hitting the living hell out of them at that price just about blows my mind, although I've learned to never be shocked at who the public is playing at this point, lol

if not, I would have made that bet 5 out of 5 times, as that writeup you did on them I would have to agree, and the only reason they wouldnt hold on here is a shytty bullpen , not Guthrie's fault.

Halladay throws one of his best all year, then the pen blows it. A balk in the 9th for the tying run. Then a walk, past ball, single for the loss in the 10th. Brutal.
