Garza is pitching solid with a 1.33 era, & although Sabathis had been getting hit hard, his last hoime start was a 7 inning 1 run effort vs. Boston. The last time he faced the Twins, he went 8 ip & allowed 1 run. Honestly I think the line is a bit too high & if I were to take a side, I would be on the Twins. No play as of yet though...

The Brewers/Cards are coming off a double header, so I think there will be some resting. Gallardo has a 1.64 era inJuly (2.18 overall) & a 1.06 WHIP. Kip Well is an automatic fade for most, but he has a 2.74 era in July & has had 2 solid starts in a row. In those 2 starts he went 14.2 innings & allowed 2 runs. As for a side, I lean on the Cards....Gallardo is 1-3 in his last 4 road games.

The Phillies are over machines at home- still kicking myself for switching sides on the total yesterday. I'm jumping back on today as Snell has a 7.04 era in July, & the Pirates have totalled 10 or more runs in his last 3 road starts. IMO the Pirates get some runs today as well....

Taking an over in a Zambrano start could be risky, as he has a 1.71 era in July. However, the Reds seem to have his number- in 2 games started he totalled 11 er in 9 ip. Belisle has a 6.52 era in July, & 3 of his last 4 home starts have totalled o9 runs. I'm hoping this all continues today.

Vazquez is 5-1 in his last 6 starts, & the White Sox are hot. Toronto is 1-3 in his Marcum's last 4 road starts. Toronto is bad on the road (20-32). The White Sox have been great to me for the past week, why fight it?

Twinkies play is on Garza shutting down the Indians. TB is scary, but they are 4-1 in Kasmir's last 5 homestarts. Boston is 2-4 in Dice-K's last 6 road starts. This is more of a situational play, with a ridiculous win last night, & the Sox off tomorrow. IMO the under is good as well, but I'm taking the doggie

Maine has a 4.26 era in July, & I'm not sure the Mets should be favored by this much. Alt rl play is something I noticed that stuck out....I'n Maine's 6 appearances in which the Mets lost, only once has it been by less than 3 runs. Go Nats!
