Their already horrific bullpen is really overworked. I would assume Yost already knew this one was over after the 2nd, and was trying to get as much as he could out of Gallardo to rest the pen up for their next game.

Besides, had they brought one of those buttclowns in, the game was going to go over the total anyway after COL got 7 in the 2nd inning.

Sucks to lose so early though, I know what you're saying.
