Daddy's Thursday (8.23)
Just one so far...
OAKLAND/TAMPA BAY - UNDER 10 (+100) = *15 UNITS Takin a stab at this one, and here's 5 reasons why... 1) Jason Hammel was a hot prospect coming up in AAA this year, he started good and then fell apart in his last few starts. His best numbers were of coarse home night games. He's already 3-0 on the UNDER in home games this year. Time for Tampa's 2005 minor league pitcher of the year to step up. 2) Chad Gaudin is slipping, but this D-rays offense is horrible lately, hitting under .200 against righties in the last 10 days. Wow. Gaudin has something to prove right now and it might as well be against his crap former team. 3) As far as batting average with runners in scoring position this year, the A's are 12th in the american league and the D-Rays 13th. Hmmm. 4) Games the A's play in a dome, the UNDER is 6-1. 5) For the A's, the UNDER is 23-11 in the last three years when the totals is 10 or 10.5 on the road. Not to mention both pens are rested, the A's are tired coming from TOR, and their lineup is pretty weak. I just gotta take a huge number like this at even money. Might have some more. BOLT!  DD

Going to take this one as well in the 7 PM games...
SAN DIEGO/NEW YORK - METS (-155) = *10 UNITS Metros were one of the hottest hitting teams until Peavy came along. I expect them to get back on track against Germano who tends to leave it over the plate. Nice to see Sandy behind the plate for the Mets... getting good vibes about the veteran battery mates. Wow. A's are just unbelievable. You have to admit with the lack of talent in that starting lineup, they are maximizing their run production right now. Hope it ends 6-0!
