Just wanted to say thanks to Wilson and Jason Green for their awesome write ups on black jack tips and strategy. I have been winning a ton using the 2,2,3,4,5.... strategy. Get up to 4 or 5 in a row and walk away. Thanks!

2nd that, I havent tried it in real casinos, but the simulations so far have yielded positive results, just need to "simulate" walking away like Daws mentions, better practice now so it'll be a habit once the real games start lol

well, it wasn't anything like the success I've been having online, but it wasn't bad. I was down early and kind of just treaded water for a few hours it seemed. I down -300 at about 4 hours in. I kept moving between the 3 tables they had because this one guy was so drunk and was being retarded and not playing the right way. He was splitting 10's and doubling down on 7 against a 10 so he was pissing me off and the other tables were crowded so I really wanted to be at his table if it weren't for him. Finally he left and I got all 300 back plus $5 lol. So I was +5 on the entire night.

The next night I went to the Philadelphia Park Casino and won $45 which isn't much either, but positive none the less and I stuck to the strategy at all times. It certainly seems to help.

hey Daws, I forget if the article mentioned, but when its a push, do you just keep the bet on the table as is?

I've been doing that somewhat lol

and are you also sticking strictly to Basic Strategy alongside this betting scheme?

Ive found my online simulations are going alright, like you said know when to get up. But I wonder if playing one-on-one with the dealer is any different from having at least 2-3 other people with you?

If I push I just pretend it never happened and continue with the bet I had in that hand. So if I 'm on a streak and I'm at a 4 unit bet and I push, I bet 4 units again until I win or lose.

I do play the basic strategy as well. To a "t". I know exactly what to do when I see what I have and the card that the dealer has.

I have found playing alone to be more profitable than playing with others. I know how to play the game and can take advantage of my streaks and try lessen the blows. I've found that when I play with others they either a) don't know how to play and can screw you up and give the dealer different cards than they should get or b) they also know how to play bj and want to make sure you know how to play as well so you both can take a stab at beating the dealer. In my brief experience playing with others I have had much less success with winning playing with good and bad players. I know playing alone is not advised, but I have made killings playing alone.

Then again, I went to the casino on tuesday night and played with others and I won $250 so who the hell knows lol.

Daws, how you been doing with this as of late? Where online have you all been playing, and if I understand Daws, you had 0 strategy or experience playing blackjack before? You done any further reading outside of what this site offers? I might go hit the video blackjack at the casino instead we will see.

We just got BJ at our local casino but at $25 a hand.. its tough to justify.

While reading this, I saw a question about where do you play online.

I can confirm that Bodog Casino is the most fair casino online.

I've had the opportunity to view many months/years of player stats and there is nobody even close to as fair as they are with their hold %.

Just an fyi to those that enjoy online casino action.

                            USFMD,

I've been doing pretty well. Without getting into specifics, I've padded my bankroll pretty nicely. I play at betUS and Sportsbook when I play online. Mostly betUs because they offer the surrender option and sportsbook doesn't. I had very little experience with blackjack before reading ALL of the info on this site regarding blackjack. It has been so helpful and really lowered the advantage that the house has for me. Just my opinion though. One thing I've noticed about the online casinos is that I seem to have maybe 4,5,6 or even more really good days of blackjack in a row and then one completely miserable day that could whipe out a few of the winning days. I've lost 200 in 5 minutes playing with just 20 a hand. Sometimes it just does not go well. So if you can grind it out on the rough days you are in great shape. stay level headed and do not stray from the strategy.

As for the video blackjack at the casino, we have the same at my local casino. I've also done well there. It is easy for people to label the video blackjack as "fixed" because they never shuffle, but I think they are pretty legit. Our casino offers games as low as $5, I usually play $10 there since $5 a hand doesn't work with my strategy. If you can only play $25/ hand I wouldn't start with any less than 400. bol.

Good to know! I will keep studying the information and give it a go myself.

When do you feel its time to walk away? do oyu give yourself a dollar limit or a time limit or just it happens when it happens?

What did you mean by the $5 a hand doesn't fit into your strategy? if your playing 20 a hand what do you bring with you for your bankroll? The video machines here are mufti denominational (I can pick a unit as a quarter up to 2$ and the most I can play a hand is 5 units, are you saying this strategy wouldn't work under those conditions, thanks very much for your feedback.

Edit: Kevin I will be signing up for BODOG in a few days (trying to figure how much I want to deposit in there, but I'm tired of Sportsbook.com no complaints, I just am bored with the site) and Bodog seems to be a bit bigger on poker as well.. :)
