Ok, so back to the NBA for leap day and to finish out the month. Not my best month, but during these three crap months (Jan.-Mar.) I'm happy with how I've done, as basketball has never been my strength. Here's what I've got my eye on today so far... reading into these games more...


MEMPHIS +14 (I think it's agreed, Houston shouldn't lay double digits w/o Yao)
SACRAMENTO +10 (Mavs coming off "covering" loss to Spurs)

CLIPPERS +15 (Denver usually lets teams hang around late in games)

Going to put someting on Raptors 2nd half. I laid off this one intentionally, just in case this happened. Indy shooting like 60% and working the **** out of their starters. This team is going to get tired I believe and Toronto is going to come back and win this one at home. The -9 2nd half is a gift if you ask me... not to mention getting even money on it. Only a $100 play for me. Not the POD.

Ahhh... since I cancelled the bet, they have a hold on that $100. I'm moving that bet to the OVER 101 in the 2nd half for the Hawks/Knicks. Only need 200 in this game... I like those chances...

In fact. I'm going to make this my POD since I don't like the late games tonight. I'm adding $150 to it and making it a half bet. This is for a 2nd half line, but I'm tracking it as a full game adjusted line. Sorry for all the confusion tonight, been a crazy ass day.

Biff - have you looked at the GS/Phil game??? Any thoughts?? if you were to pick a side which side would it be?

That's the only game I had interest in of the later ones, but I think I'll just lay off. If anything I'd say take the Sixers. They are good matchup against the Warriors, and I think Dalembert will have an easy night in the paint.

One key stat I see -

Sixers with 1-day rest 11-16-2 ATS
GS with 2-days rest 2-6 ATS

I agree - think Sixers cover... with Biedrins out (11/24/07 game had 11pts 14 boards) - will the others come to play???(Jackson, Ellis, Davis, etc.)

THe under is interesting 216 albeit OVER is 10-2 in GS last 12 Fri games, 14-3in GS last 17 overall, but GS is 1-7 ATS in last 8 overall...

I try and not get too wound up in ATS records, because they all have central tendency. I'm more focused on recent performance, and here's a fact I like...

Mo Cheeks’ has stressed defense lately, and the Sixers are holding teams to 91 ppg in their last 15 games, down from 97 ppg prior to that run. I'd steer clear of the total because I Philly should get 100+ pretty easily, and if the Warriors get hot from 3 (I think they'll be taking a lot of shots behind the arc), over it goes.

I'm just shakin my head... after a 3rd quarter like that, just bricks and clock burning to end the game. Oh man. Starting to think more about Philly +6... I really think they take this one SU tonight. +200 ML seems way too generous. I also think Miami has a good chance to make it #11 tonight.
