Default Vick gets 23 months

Judge was hard on him, told him I dont think your sorry. You lied and dont tell your family and friends your sorry, tell the millions of kids that look up to you, your sorry.

I guess he thought by reporting to jail early he'd get off with a less sentence. NOT

Lot of money lost on a bunch of stupid crap.

I love how is lawyer said he did this because he grew up poor and on the wrong side of town. LMAO

I'm not gonna get too much into this, but you've got to be kidding me...he got off easy??? I think 2 years in Jail and basically losing everything you have is not getting off easy....I'm not about to get in a debate about where dogfighting ranks amongst other crimes in this country, because we could go on forever....

IMHO, in no way did he get off easy...

Compared to what most of us who love our dogs wanted to see him get, it's easy.

considering he could have gotten upto 5 years in prison for this crime, and factor in what he did to those dogs, yea 2 years is getting off easy.

I recommend to anyone interested, takin' a good look at the case from start to finish, before making a statement, on my opinion!

It goes both ways I can't believe anyone can think he doesn't deserve everything he got plus more.

I think the approximate two years is fair. If anything, I felt he could/should get more, not for the crimes (which are unspeakable and inhumane, I agree), but because he seemingly wasn't even remotely remorseful or sorry. IMHO, he probably doesn't even think what he did was wrong. I know no basis for knowing that and it's just an opinion, I could be 100% wrong and he could be genuinely sorry for all I know.

It's nice to see a judge stand up top one of these celebrities, who think they are bulletproof and untouchable, and treat him like the criminal he is. On top of all the sickly issues of the dog brutality, he was the financial backer of a gambling ring that crossed state lines, and the fact that he only plead because everyone turned against him shows no remorse whatsoever. It just shows he had a bad lawyer who wasn't smart enough to force HIM to plead out first and possibly save his ass from all this. Maybe one of the lawyers in here can tell us, but if he plead first I can't imagine he'd be in jail for any legitimate amount of time??? 3- months maybe??? At most???

I hope he gets knifed in jail and can never play football again. This guy should be forced to clean stalls the rest of his life.

Does the time fit the crime....?Maybe maybe not. Is he remorseful?Probably not, being he lied again after he was busted and continued to use the cannabis(not that there is anything wrong with it) though he said he would not, and then he lied about that at well...Is this a nature/nurture issue that is found in and around the good ole U S of A? Most definetly!Sad state of affairs any way you look at it!Dogs lost their lives in a horrible manner, Vick lost his life and everything he worked for since he put on a pair of air jordans, and the sporting public lossed one hell of an entertainer!
