Im looking at the Under.. 62% are betting the over (according to trends at sportsbook.com). but it hasn't moved yet either way since opening.

Injuries/Probables I know of
Chargers: Turner (shoulder) Prob, Rivers (Knee) is said to start whether he will be 100% i cant say

Denver:
Stokley probable

Reading the thoughts on another board, it would appear that aside from pride the chargers or broncos really don't have much more to play for, Chargers have their playoff seed (but they may try for a higher seed to play (browns or titans instead of the Jags on a streak). While the Broncos, have no playoff hopes.

Weather is looking to be sunny, so that wouldn't affect the under really like bad weather.

I haven't pulled the trigger yet, Ill wait to hear what you guys have to say

If the Chargers can build an early lead and not be stressed in the second half, look for coach Norv Turner to start pulling his starters, especially those nursing injuries.

I only think he will pull the starters if the lead is pretty sizable. They probably want to avoid having to go to New England at all costs, prior to the AFC Championship Game, so getting that #3 seed allows them to do such. Denver's run defense has been been terible all year, so it's hard to fathom them shutting down Tomlinson and the very good San Diego offensive line. Denver has also been an absolutely brutal road team the past couple seasons, and last week's performance at Houston doesn't bode well for anything turning around that statistic.

I was going to say pretty much the same thing myself. If I were making a line for this game, it would be about SD -14.....which of course leads me to ask myself why it's not, lol.

Is it the Broncos name keeping it down? Do the books have some kind of idea that certain Chargers won't play the whole game, thinking back door cover?

If you build a big lead, and yank starters, letting a team get within 10 is too close. It wasn't a fluke that SD hammered DEN the first time, and I don't see why they won't/can't do it again.

This line reminds me alot of the Indy/Houston line yesterday. I got completely suckered into taking Houston +7, thinking for Houston to be only +7 at Indy, something HAD to be up, as far as Indy resting people.....only for Indy to lay the hammer down on the Texans as if it was any other game (kudos to Indy for doing so, as resting starters got them NOWHERE 2 years ago).

I know resting starters can be a sexy trend for some teams, but I hardly think the Chargers can afford to do this, for the reasons mentioned above, and plus I don't think they can afford to lose any momentum heading into the playoffs since they're pretty hot right now, after starting slower than a slug.

I don't know if i'll be taking SD, but I wouldn't bet on Denver tonight, that much I know, cause IMO SD can hammer them again at will simply due to the fact that Denver can't stop the run, and they plain old stink, especially on the road.
