Your a little kid. You wake up on Christmas morning and find nothing under your tree or in your stocking, and thats even if you have one of either. I can only imagine that'd make a little person cry.

Kids are taught that if your not good, Santa doesn't come to your house.

Unfortunately, the economy is **** right now and need for donations is as high as it's ever been as evidenced by 2 organizations getting back to us already with record high requests. 2 SMALL organizations needing us to cover 40 kids each.

Why should you care? Because its the right thing to do and you at one time were a kid. Let's face it, some deadbeat adults make poor decisions and they pay the price. Kids don't really get a choice though. Their a victim/product of their environment.

Why do I care? My mom was one who needed help in the sixties being a single parent and all. The Salvation Army helped my Mom and older sister. She told me before she died that if I ever got a chance to give back, to help them in particular because they had helped her so much.

Not to mention, it's good for humanity. Giving feels good. Try it. Donate to our annual toy drive and see how that makes you feel on Christmas morning. It's undescribable.

Sorry to rant and rave on this topic, but we're not getting the donations in as fast as usual and i'm getting a bit worried.

We offer a free venue to come to 365 days of the year. You won't hear us asking for anything but this one time per year. Call it dues, call it whatever. Please pony up and help us punch poverty in the mouth. No kid deserves to go without, ESPECIALLY at Christmas.

As incentive, Erin from Betus.com has stepped up bigtime and is offering a $5000 contest amongst those that donate.

Please fellas, we need your help. I take a lot of pride in this gig.

And for those naysayers worried about this being a potential scam, please feel free to ask for references. I've met approx 30 people from this site who know i ain't no scammer.

yeah seriously folks......

as i said, call me a dick for saying this if you want, but people need to start kicking down for donations. It's already the first week of december and kevin needs the money to actually do the shopping. im sure he doesn't want to go to the mall on december 18th and try and buy 4,000,000 toys for december 19th. list is rather short right now for posters who have kicked down. it's a tough year for a lot of people, probably even some on this site, but if you are gambling and not kicking in for the toy drive i think you are a huge ZERO and you really need to give yourself a quick character check.

this group has always come up big and lets make sure we do this year. it takes 30 seconds to write a check (not sure how long to paypal as i don't use that but it can't be that long)...end of story. 20.00 goes a long way. i had everything i ever wanted every xmas growing up so i have no idea what these kids go through but it can't be fun.

let's rock the party for the kids.....
