Default G II

YTD: 0-0

10am West Coast

Jacksonville -3 (-110) *2 units
West coast team traveling east for an early game. Arizona was a much better team last year and still went 0-5 in this situation with their closest game a 4 point loss. Arizona has shown me nothing this year, 0-4 pre-season and a home loss to the 9'ers. Bolden and Breaston are banged up at WR. Warner looks old. New O and D coordinators....I think Arizona will be a nice fade all year.

Carolina +6.5 (-110) * 2 units
I think it's important we don't get too carried away by what happened in week 1. Pennington and Miami moved the ball at Atlanta last week and I think Carolina is still a playoff caliber squad. Provided they don't kill themselves, they should be able to hang with Atlanta in ATL. This game means a lot to them...Atlanta might just be a little over confident...

Jets +160 Moneyline *1 unit
They either win this one or get blown out. They have the swagger, and most importantly the running back tandem to control the clock and the game. I expect the meadowlands to be going crazy for their J-E-T-S.

Packers -2.5/Tennessee -1 (-110) 6 pt. tease *2 units
Like both of these home teams to get the win tomorrow.

1pm West Coast

San Francisco -.5 (-110) *2 units
My thoughts are all over this board. Love SF in their home opener with the chance to go up 2-0 on divisional rivals. This is a quick, talented D that will cause problems for Hasselbeck and create turnovers. SF will pound the ball with Gore (Jackson avg'd 4.6 per carry last week at Seattle) and Hill, while lacking a deep threat, will still be able to hit Morgan and Bruce on the 15 yard routes. Singletary will have his boys ready to play.

Philly ML +130 *2 units
Kolb kept me away from this play at first, but the iggles at home, with their D, and Westbrook and McCoy in the backfield should be enough to get the job done vs. an Saints team the public loves because they torched the Lions, at home. Saints not a good road team.

YTD: 2-4 (-5.5 units)

Completely the wrong read on Arizona. I dared them to put up and they did...

add:

Giants +3 (-120
Giants +130

2 units each

I was very impressed with the Giants D last week and think Osi back and healthy is huge. The Cowboys looked good last week at the Bucs offensively, but also let them do pretty much whatever they wanted offensively. The Giants have the better D, and i'm siding with them tonight.

YTD: 4-4 (-.9 units)

Adams trip on Tuck was so bush league. I hope he's not out too long...

Monday Night:

I think the Dolphins are garbage...but the Colts are also overrated. Miami +4 feels like the side but I'm not feeling good about backing noodle arm and the wildcat offense over Peyton. But after seeing how terrible Jacksonville really is I'm not convinced the Colts are really all that good. But I gotta think big bro is looking to one-up his baby bro Eli tonight...

Over?

'Phins +3 (-105) *2 units

Because I enjoy pain...

The public is stupid. They obviously dont remember last week's beating given to them by the books when they took both DD favorites. 78% on Indy and the line has gone down from 3.5 to 3. Really? Give me the Dolphins and give me whisky...

Lean towards under and Miami team under. Prediction 16-14 Miami.

Watch the Colts win 38-3

Thanks Rah! You too brother. Got a feeling you'll be on this with me...

Colts/Phins UNDER 20.5 (-110) *2 units

Miami gets the kick and hopefully takes 10 minutes off the clock driving down field. Minus the big 80 yard play this is definitely an "under" type game.

YTD: 4-6 (-5.2 units)

Ouch. Monday night hurts me again. Felt like I had the right side, but I need to take into account all variables...and as I live and learn..I will make a rule for myself this year. Gotta come out of this with something gained, and it obviously wasn't green paper...

I must take into account two important things:

Can my team
1.Make a big play on offense in the final 2 minutes.
or
2. Make a big Defensive stop when needed.

Too many of these games this week came down to crunch time, including the Sunday/Monday nighters. I need to handicap for ability to make plays when the game is on the line.

It's a playmakers league and I feel, for now, these teams lack such a thing on offense, or a solid Defense to come up with a stop when one is essential.

Teams that come to mind:

Miami, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Oakland, Cleveland, St. Louis, Tampa Bay

Pretty much the garbage of the League, ha.

Of course that list is lucid, subject to change, and dependent on match-ups...but nonetheless probably a good thing to keep in mind
