I feel like I have puked for 4 hours and had a pine cone stuffed up my butt after that Miami loss.

Two 5* losers this week.... first the Iowa crap thing then this Miami collapse.

BB you sound as though you are practising your nest building. Suck it up cuz next weeks tilt's are set ready go. Sometimes it's within one's control and sometimes 'that's not the way the cookie crumbles' so to speak.

...i think Kenny is still using that one.....

Boiler and I sat in quite possibly the squarest sports book in the US yesterday....nothing but cheers for New England, Indy, San Diego and then of course the entire square nation was cheering for the Saints yesterday in the book..........i honestly did not hear one cheer for a dog all day long other than the publicly backed ATL falcons........

man what a couple of awful beats.......how do you squander a 17 point ATS lead in the 4th quarter of an NFL game..........

so the weekend hat trick of the Red Wings outshooting COL 50-20 and losing, Iowa scoring on the last play of the game to cover in a game that they did absolutely nothing in, and then the MIA debacle......sweet..

I agree on all those but Iowa. It may be true that Iowa really did nothing to cover, but neither did Mich St. There's no way that anyone on this earth could convince me that MSU shoulda/coulda/woulda won that game or covered any spread any more so than should have Iowa.

If anything, Iowa bettors were lucky and MSU bettors were unlucky, that much I agree with....but at the same time, just as easily MSU could have NOT scored in the final 2 mins, seeings as how they too did zilch offensively the whole game, and then Iowa would not have required a last second score of their own to win/cover....and not saying anyone here said this....but to say MSU was the "right side" or "should have covered" is bordering on stupid imo, as they were favored and really did nothing the whole game.

Not to say it cannot happen, cause of course it could, but it's real hard to expect a team to cover ANY - number when their total offensive output is 13.

Just my 2 cents

I don't know Stif....

Iowa had 130 yds of offense thru 3 qtrs and got 70 of their total 276 when MSU went into hibernation mode on the last drive. The penalty on the INT could have gone either way (both were grabbing each other). Losing on a TD with no time left in a virtual pickem game, especially when Iowa had 3 freaking plays in the last 9 seconds of the game. It wasnt a collossal bone job, but it was a ****ty way to lose.

Oh, i don't disagree with those points. I had Iowa and feel lucky as **** to win. I was just saying that I don't feel MSU did jack **** either and that had they covered I think it would have been just ask lucky.

I personally wouldn't have felt screwed had Iowa not covered....and I know this because I kinda felt like it was coming to me the whole time when MSU scored to take the 13-9 lead....and felt lucky as **** when Iowa scored at the end.

That COL/DET NHL game was really lame though, and MIAMI has no one to blame but themselves for squandering that lead. They totally went into a shell once NO started coming back. No more wildcat or even running game, looked lost on defense, etc. Poor coaching, poor execution (those drops by Ginn Jr were INEXCUSABLE) and just a poor all around job of handling a little pressure that the Saints put on em imo. Idiots.

yep....i think that was one of the most poorly coached halfs i have seen in a long while....they just hit the panic button.....but seriously, i don't think i can recall a team with a 17 point ATS lead with like 12 to go in the 4th quarter of an NFL game and lose it....college yes because in conferences like the WAC that is what happens, but in an NFL game no way.

and as for Ted Ginn Jr, that is pretty much just a continuation of his college career. i told boiler yesterday he was mr. stonehands with the buckeyes and apparently is still that way. he was a punt/KR that was dangerous in space. they mostly used him to get him the ball and let him do his thing.....he was never a go down field and do a 20 yard out route guy at OSU so i have less than no idea why Miami thinks he is going to be good in that role for them.

i don't know....was just a really bizarre weekend of betting i guess was my point...and to be on the ass end of not one, not 2, but ALL THREE of those really sucked.....

I agree about Ginn Jr. I don't know why Miami thought they could turn him into a true NFL WR, especially on a team who is severely lacking in that area to begin with. Tom Jackson was basically saying he has no balls and is afraid to take a hit after the game, lol

And believe me, I know as well as anyone what it's like to be on the wrong side of boning after boning.

Just so happens I was only on the boning side of 2 of those games (MIA and DET) and actually caught a break taking IOWA. I strongly considered MSU early in the week, but as the week went on I changed my mind and decided to go IOWA and lucked out.

I actually think this week is the week to go against IOWA. I think they will have their flat spot this week and INDIANA will give them all they can handle....
