Oracle's NFL Week 8

Hello all. New to the site but not new to sports handicapping. Been at this for 17 years and learned alot some the hard way, some by talking to others sharp cappers. The key to this racket is information and money management. You never stop learning because once you do you are dead. Hoping that we can share some info and help each other reach that magical 53%. Look forward to talking with you all. I've seen some good cappers here and some solid info so it should be fun and profitable.

Since joining late in the week I'll put up my plays then try and get as many write ups on as possible. My bets are 3% of my bankroll, period. Progressive wagering adds another element into profiting besides just picking winners. If you bet a flat consistent amount and can hit 53% you profit. With progressive/unit betting systems you could win 3 of 5 which is 60% but still end up in the red because you lost your "big" picks but won the smaller ones.

Some quick notes and analysis:

Minnesota +3

- Homecoming for the drama queen, Brett (I'm retired til after two-a-days) Favre.

- Vikings will dominate the line of scrimmage they had 8 sacks, a safety, and forced a Rodgers fumble in the first meeting. Minnesota ranks 1st in sacks while the Packers rank 31st in sacks allowed and 27th in quarterback hits. The Packers O-Line is battered and bruised and will get pummeled today by Jared Allen and Co.


Houston -3 1/2

- No wind in Buffalo this week to keep the game close for the injury ravaged offensively inept Bills. Schaub and company will put up way too points for the Bills to even have a prayer of competing.


Miami +3

- The Dolphins gave the Jets fits with their Wildcat a month ago and without jenkins at the nose it is sure to get worse. If new york thinks they will gain 300+ on the ground against this defense they are sadly mistaken. Not playing the Bills or raiders this week Mr. Jones.


Carolina +10

- Two teams that are on opposite ends emotionally. The Panthers were embarrassed losing to the Bills last week while Arizona is coming off a monster win vs the Giants in primetime. Panthers also have revenge after last years playoff loss to the Cards. The panthers also have a top ranked pass defense while the Cards have struggled to run the ball.
