NHLRS Wednesday Opening Day (the real one)

Love it.....NHL season is back after a 3 week hiatus......


COL -140.....................some great value here, IMO. COL finished last year winners of like 11 of 12. DAL, IMO has little or no firepower up front. I think this is really good value for a team that IMO (and i know JML feels this way) will contend for the Western Conference crown. Always a little leary of laying a lot of juice early on as we haven't seen any of these teams yet. But i'll do it here. Fading a couple of pretty steep trends. DAL has beaten COL 7 straight times and is 7-0-3 in openers L10. HOWEVER....COL is a pretty nice 7-1-4 in home openers and DAL is just 4-7-8 when opening as a visitor. Ryan Smith is also making his debut for COL. Should be a "festive" environment.


DET -200.......1Unit............purely a fade of ANA. I don't see how you can play 2 games BB in London and then fly all the way to DET and be ready for a game 2 nights later. I would imagine their body clocks are all messed up. DET has beaten ANA 8 straight times at DET. Don't see any reason why that isn't 9 after the opener.


anyone else like OTT/TOR Over6?? Emery hasn't played but like once due to recovering from surgery and Gerber is average (if he plays instead) at best. Toskala hasn't been all that impressive in front of what he is probably now figuring out isn't the same D he had in front of him in San Jose. Lots of firepower on the ice for both teams. Teams hate each other which should account for some nice PP time for both teams......leaning hard to the OVer6 here..........JML thoughts??? Leafs8675309 thoughts??

IMO, the NHL forum is one of the best on this site. Small pool of guys, but tons of knowledge and tons of discussion about games.

BB- THX!.....saw a buckeye at OC Airport today. That is a good omen.......also got on the plane with a lady with a Purdue shirt. I got all up in her face...... Just pulled out the Cat-in-the-hat so it won't be wrinkled for Saturday..... . And dang, not kidding, there were less than 20 people on my flight from DAL to Indy...hat an exit row to myself......

and JML....just so you don't think i give preferential treatment to any of my trips.....i will be at the OSU/Purdue game this weekend......just so you know.....

I thought it was all one season. Like 7000 playoff games to seed the teams. Only 2 dont make it in.
