Lots of goals in Boston's home-opener...two suspect goalies, two offensive-minded teams...just a hunch in this one...

Devils/Flyers OVER 5.5 +101
Both teams have been scoring buckets of goals, Weekes gets the start...Biron due for a slip-up, Jersey playing more up-tempo this year, Flyers always play that way...6-4 type game...

Rangers -118 vs Thrashers - 2 Units
WTF? I know NY has started out slow, but they have been off since Saturday, and get to come into play the worst team in the NHL, who just fired their coach. NY is 3-2, but have lost to the best team in the NHL twice (OTT), and a close one in a rivalry game (NYI). NY is good in net, and the stars up front might break out tonight against a horrible defensive team. Definitely the play of the night, IMO.

Leafs -116 vs Panthers - 2 Units
Cats got lucky in Montreal (ask FF)... I don't see them pulling out b2b wins in hockey's mecca cities. Toronto can score goals...nobody's doubting that, and Toskala's actually played well (despite the stats), so if they can keep FLA to under 4 goals, and Mcabe doesn't score too many own-goals, Leafs should pull out the win at home...

Habs/Sens UNDER 5.5 +104
Love the goalies in this one...Gerber's been great, and Price is the new dominant goalie of the next 10 years. The Habs play it as tight as anyone with Carboneau in charge, and Ottawa hasn't really been lighting it up outside their top line...when they aren't on the ice, the Sens play it pretty tight. I think we're getting a pretty good line here b/c of the perception of Ottawa's firewagon style, but they've only been scoring barely 3 goals a game. I'll back the talent in net in this one...

Oilers +106 vs Coyotes
Edmonton struggling bad, but they've ran into some good teams to start the year and finally get a weaker opponent...I think they find a way to win this one. Fading the desert dogs as a fav is always a good idea as well...

JML- GL!....actually the rug munchers play field hockey down here which is pretty populare out east. your leafs are going to screw me tonight, i can feel it....lol...they always do. Maybe since you are on them they will play well...

yeah...I kinda knew that field hockey is popular I guess...just sounds funny, when you have heard "hockey" since age 1. Kinda sounds like "field" football or "court" basketball to me, lol.

Leafs have screwed me too...i think I have bet on them 3 times (2 fades) and lost everytime....I even faded them against the Islanders for their 7-2 win or whatever. lol!

seriously dude- TOR needs to blow up that abomination they call a team. McCabe is just horrendous on defense...you talk about ATL D-men being ****ty??? They have a hodge podge of forwards that come to play some nights and don't come to play other nights. It really seems like a ship without a rudder. I thought Paul Maurice was supposed to be the man? Seems like the team lacks a "heart" guy as well. don't get me wrong, i don't mind TOR sucking ass (just not when i bet on them .....lol), but seriously something has to change. They have had the same M.O. for too long now and it obviously is going nowhere fast. Piss poor free agent signings, no defense.....how does that dude still have a job??

I agree. This is a borderline playoff team at best. What happened was we were really ****ed at the lockout time. we were giving away our youth, for playoff possibilities (i wont name them all). Mcabe is OK, but is a PP specialist, and an average 3/4 type d-man defensively. He parlayed that one year where he scored a ton of PP goals into a 7 million a year contract. Insane. Since then, teams have learned to take away that Kaberle to Mcabe pass on the PP (one reason Tucker got so many PP goals last year), and now we have a #3 type decent d-man making 7 mil. after that own goal to lose the game last game, you should see the backlash Mcabe is getting. Front page NY a-rod style headlines ("mcgaff", etc), and booed at home big time, Larry Murphy style.

It's a frustrating team, so inconsistant, as us gamblers know.

The GM, Fergonsen is gone if we dont win at least 1 playoff series, and a BIG name comes in, as it's the most presitigous job in hockey...

For the record, I like Maurice....but he's got the same mediocre scrubs. It's an average team simple as that.
